I was introduced to this product by a friend on set and it was a literal, eye opening experience. I knew I had to have one for my rigs and Im so glad I did.

I tested the Kameleon, Canon V70 and the Gratical Eye side by side, and the Gratical Eye came out the clear winner. With the mounting options, picture quality and form factor, it's a very nice match to my C500M2 setup.

We use the Gratical Eye with one of our EVA1s and it's a fantastic addition to that unit. The HUD provided a wealth of customizable information as well as a crisp and clear scene image. The unit is very comfortable to use even for extended periods and the engineering and craftsmanship that went into it's design and construction is apparent. Fantastic addition to our EVA1 rig.

Product is unusable. Doesn't cover live view screen completely, the extenders one place cannot be removed.

Buying the EVA1, I knew that I'd have to buy an EVF. Zacuto was my first choice. I bought the Gratical Eye and have been very happy with it. It's tack sharp and has all the tools I need for exposure, focus assist, desqueeze, waveform and more. I'm glad that the scopes don't overlay on the image, but are nestled below to keep the frame clear.

I recently used the Gratical Eye to shoot a real-time, single take film with. We carefully researched many competitors before focusing in on the Zacuto viewfinder. We had the unique challenge of needing a viewfinder that would stay razor sharp with focus, not drain our battery quickly, be lightweight, offer comfort to look through and not overheat during use. This was quite a list of "must have" features and having completed the film, I can attest that the Gratical Eye excelled beyond my team's wildest dreams. It was a pleasure to work with, never gave so much as a glitch let alone a problem. We couldn't have made the film without this piece of equipment. The color representation was flawless, the ability to connect it with the RED camera we were using and share the on screen displays worked without any trouble. I will definitely be using this product again!

I recently worked as 1st AC on a set that had this in tandem with the RED Dragon and this EVF was beautiful to look through. Great detail and accurate colors made this something I wish I had on serveral previous productions and was a joy to use on this project. Easy setup and very comfortable on the eye.

Great image and has everything you need to get the job done. Glad I switched to this at the last minute instead of HD version which is much larger. Setup is designed for right eye shooters so look in to getting the extension if you're a lefty.

For our documentary shooting „Mountain Men“ with a Canon C300 mkII the Gratical Eye was the most useful product. It was no problem anymore shooting under the bright sun. The Viewfinder is very easy to handle and contains all useful elements you will need, like LUTs, vectorscope, waveform and a lot more. I was more than happy with it and will definitely use it again!

This viewfinder provides an excellent image and loads of customizable features that seemingly cater to everyone. It has been a great addition to my camera and puts me at great ease knowing that my shots and exposure are all clearly reproduced in front of my eye. Recently I was in the Mohave desert shooting an item for Discovery Channel Canada. We were in the hot (99 degrees), dry and dusty conditions on the top of a hill all day long. My camera (JVC LS300) and the Zacuto Gratical Eye were heating up rapidly and were actually very hot to the touch, however, the viewfinder never shut down, cut out or malfunctioned whatsoever, in fact nothing changed, it just kept on going! Clearly this has been 'battle' tested and it shows.

it shouts quality, this Gratical eye it,s bit expensive, but it,s worth every penny! it,s really rock solid ,OLED it,s sharp like a blade, the world became sharp to me.it,s also a life saver in bright outside. LUT support ,vectorscope &waveform displays, one button to access all fuction,is very simple. it can,t turm it off, just unplug in the BP to turn it off.but it,s no big deal as i power it with a large 120w battery.

The Gratical Eye SDI electronic viewfinder is the smallest and lightest of the Micro OLED EVFs. It fits in the palm of your hand and weighs only 14oz. This is an ideal SDI EVF solution for filmmakers using professional cameras and external batteries. The Gratical Eye has a 2 pin Lemo power jack and a single SDI input. A 75Wh battery can power the Gratical Eye for 14 hours. Mount the Gratical Eye to your Next Generation Recoil via the 1/4 20 rosette on the side with an Axis Mini.
The Gratical Eye Micro OLED electronic viewfinder uses an extremely powerful FPGA dual-core processor and the latest Micro-OLED displays to provide a hugely expanded contrast range. The Micro-OLED display supports high pixel density with unparalleled resolution, true blacks, gamma and contrast range. The Gratical Eye has 5.4 million pixels on a 0.61" diagonal screen no bigger than the size of your thumbnail.
You'll be amazed with how sharp the image is. The internal field of view is just the right size so that the image is large, but not so that your eye has to roam to see the entire image at once. It features a built in -1 to +4 diopter range and Zacuto's patented essential anti-fog coating formula. It never fogs in humidity or freezing temperatures. An auto-closing eyecup door prevents sunburn display automatically without any action by the operator.
Along with the full suite of Zacuto EVF firmware (full scopes, LUTs, multi- level peaking and more), the Gratical Eye has two unique features - an external tally light and a proximity screen saver. After 1 hour of being idle, the Eye will go into auto shutoff mode, saving you power and time.
