I needed to make a change from my existing Tilta rig because I would end up either leaving it at home or in its case during shoots because it was too clumsy and awkward to use. I decided to purchase the Zacuto Half Cage and add it to my Zacuto DSLR Base Plate, QR Shoulder Pad and Z-Grips to consolidate my Zacuto rig. Not only does the Zacuto Half Cage make my new rig look amazing but it also provides additional mounting options and shooting positions that help me to achieve my project goals. The included Allen key and magnetic Allen key holder shows the attention to detail and the design that Zacuto puts into all of its products. This is further highlighted in Zacuto’s decision to use Maple Wood on the handle v.s. a man made material. Adding the flexibility to adjust to multiple camera heights between DSLR and Cine makes this the last cage that I will ever need!
