This is one of those pieces that I hate to spend money on but once I used it I wondered why I waited so long. This takes out all of the reconfiguring of your rig when switching from tripod to shoulder mount when using VCT Pro Baseplate. It is so much more secure because I can mount my tripod plate to this with multiple plate screws and it wont twist or move at all. When the camera locks into this thing it is solid and gives an audible click so you know its in there. When I first received the product I could not quite get the VCT Pro Baseplate to engage the lock but Zacuto customer service was able to send out a new piece for my VCT Pro Baseplate that fixed the problem with no questions asked. Amazing customer service that knows the products from hands on experience!

We have a pair of Canon C300 Mk ii cameras and recently bought an additional VCT tripod plate for our 2nd camera. If our repeat purchase is any indication, we love Zacuto products and they are hugely powerful with the Canon C300 system. Combined with the other Zacuto Recoil products, the C300 Mk ii becomes a fully functional handheld and studio camera. The best part is that the VCT Tripod Plate allows you to very quickly go from tripod to handheld. The last thing you want is to keep your client or subjects waiting while you fiddle with gear, this helpful tools solves that problem!

I had been using the Arri dovetail system for a while but I decided to try the Zacuto VCT-14 tripod plate because I needed a shoulder rig configuration that could dock to my tripod when not in use. I have to tell you, it's rock solid and the construction is heavy duty. Works flawlessly with my VCT-Pro or any rig that takes the VCT dock. Highly recommended, I'll likely buy a 2nd one for my stabilizer.

Purchased in conjunction with the new VCT Pro baseplate. I keep the baseplate on my Epic-W full-time, and this plate on my Manfrotto 509. Gives me the flexibility of being able to go tripod to shoulder/handheld in seconds. No complaints here.
