The Rugged Book Apple iPad for 9th generation is by far the best case with keyboard I have found. I wish that there was one charging port rather than a separate one to charge the case. Otherwise this case is what it says it is..rugged. This is second time purchase of Zagg cases. Would highly recommend this case.

I spent many hours reading reviews, going to local stores before making a purchase. Some family members have iPad's with various brands and types of cases or keyboard/case combinations including the Apple set up. The Zagg Rugged is exactly that, rugged. If you are looking for a lightweight case/ keyboard look elsewhere. This Zagg is built for daily use on jobsites, outdoors and other uses where conditions aren't ideal. The weight of the keyboard helps maintain balance when the the case is opened. The detachable hinge feature allows use without the keyboard. I highly recommend the Zagg rugged book.

I am particularly rough on my tablets, and Zagg did not disappoint! The case is beefy, the keys have a good spring to them, and the magnetic hinge allows me to turn the tablet around when I'm not using the keyboard. I wish they still had this for the iPad mini 5, but it more than serves for my 11 inch iPad Pro. Thanks again for a great case!

Zagg could do a better job at shipping as stated when ordering, however, that does not reflect the product! They are the best on the market in my opinion. Good battery life, sturdy, this one holds the pen tight thank goodness!

This case is the best! I use this case at my job as a paramedic in a large city. We use it for our incident charting. It's been dropped never breaks, it gets opened and closed a hundred times in a 12 hour work day and stands the test! I love it so much I bought one of my own! Worth it !!

Really pleased with the Rugged Book. Solid and holds my iPad firmly in place. Being able to detach the screen from the keyboard or flip it around for video conferences is a real plus. The only downside is that it's a little heavy. I was hoping it would be lighter than the one it replaced (which had a hung failure after a year). Very satisfied with it.

I read some reviews that say the Rugged Book makes the iPad feel a bit heavy. YES, GIVE ME ALL OF THAT! This is the Rugged Book after all. Not the "Cheap Flimsy Book"! By far the best iPad case I've ever owned, and I used to be a Catalyst customer. Zagg has them beat in terms of impact protection.

Great keyboard and cover. Zagg made this one right. I've had three keyboards on my iPad Pro over the past few years. This one is made to last and provides outstanding protection. Hinge much improved over previous version that I owned. The only thing missing is a track pad. Easy set up via Bluetooth. Unit is a bit heavy but worth it for the added protection. Perfect fit for my iPad Pro 11".

I have owned multiple rugged books for my iPads and my wife's iPads over the years, and I have always been very happy with it's performance, including a very long battery life.

I've been using this Zagg Rugged Book going on about 8 years, and I really like it. I buy it mostly for the cover. It fits my iPad nice and tight, and it's not too bulky. The Black Friday price was great too!

Keyboard worked for like a week of very minimal use and the space bar stopped working, paid ~$10 for replacement. Other than that the design is nice and form factor is great.

This is my second rugged book for iPad. Both were very sturdy and did the job. Keyboard works well. The downside is that it is heavier than the iPad itself. but I'd rather have the weight than a broken iPad.

As far as the detachable keyboard aspect goes, I like it, although it is a little tough to set the ipad back into the keyboard hinge correctly. The keyboard itself works well so far. Being able to put it on both ways for using the iPad like a little movie theater stand one way as well as doing work on it is awesome. But the case on the ipad itself is disappointing. I was hoping for a rugged case, as the name suggests, but it is mediocre at best. I was hoping for a case that was going to rival an Otterbox case. I would also like to see a flap to keep water and dust out of the USB C port. And the apple pencil holder is quite flimsy. I hope to see improvements in the next generation of rugged book cases

This is the second rugged book in a row that never closes all the way unless I manually push the hinge. The problem occurs because the iPad slides out slightly from the groove holding it; there not tight enough of a hold that the hinge comes all the way forward when you close it.

The Rugged Book holds up well in the field. It is well-built and works well for our application. The only drawback is that the case tends to break where it connects to the keyboard after about a year of use. I wish there were more lugs where the case meets the keyboard to prevent this from happening, or that the hinge tension was reduced.

Definetly like its name Rugged book little tricky to learn keyboard keys to turn on backlight and change color for keys as I looked up support for keyboard and it explains how to use combo of keys I will print that out. The pencil connected well as the keyboard to my Apple 11 M3.

I have had this same product multiple times. Each time, the keyboard gets gremlins in after year... like not able to use certain keys and the forward slash key starting automatically and not stopping until the batter drains. I have not found another similar device, so i have replaced it again. I only recommend this if you don't mind replacing it. ZAGG wont help you - you need to buy it every 1 to 2 years. Great tool - but unreliable

Typing on the keyboard is smooth. The keys are spread out, and they don't stick. It's a nice compact keyboard case I would recommend to friends.

Amazing product for EMS Use! We have a number of these for our iPad Airs that get used daily for EMS as our primary means of completing patient care reports. This product is fairly priced and works very well, while keeping our iPads well protected. Highly recommended. My only wish is that the iPad battery would trickle charge the keyboard.

I've been using this keyboard for a number of years. Typically the hinge is what causes me to need a new keyboard, but I feel like the benefits far outweigh the negatives. I use it a good bit, so plastic wears out over time!

This is my third rugged book which shows how much I like it. The keyboard is like having a laptop or computer keyboard ? so very comfortable to use. It's also a great protection to your IPad if you drop it as it's strong and sturdy.
