Easy fit no brainer A+ value

The Zing Pro SLR case is simple solution for camera protection with an easy, universal fit. As long as you do not mind the somewhat phallic presentation, or actually prefer it, you will be pleased with the Zinger. MD

Neoprene Case

This case is made out of the same material as wetsuits for the ocean. It not only helps absorb shocks but it will also allow you to take your camera outdoors even when it is raining so that you can take your pictures.

Good so far

Seems goo, Fits okay on the 55-200, lots of room on the 18-55 -- was looking to go a little smaller, but wanted to support to the 55-200 and this one did.

Bulky, I never use it.

I wish I hadn't bought this. I have a canon 7d and wanted a cover that would accommodate a zoom, however, I have owned it for months now and never use it. I'm not sure what the best use for it is, it takes longer to get the cover off than it does to remove my camera from either of my camera bags, so unless you are just going to strap the camera to your chest and keep it in the bag, this cover seems pointless. I thought it would be useful, but, for me it is not.

Works for Pentax D200 + grip too!

Use this case to protect Pentax MZ-S & BG10 grip & short zoom lens. Same case works for D200 & grip & zoom lens. Quick on & off plus it does not attract any attention.

Good product

Good product overall....but make sure it pick the size that fit your SLR. I used this one for my Cannon 50d and it was little too long.

Good, but not perfect

I just purchased this cover based on my previous ownership of a smaller Zing SLR cover. I had an older standard sized cover that worked great for my first generation Digital Rebel with Tamron 28-300mm zoom. I used the old cover when hiking and backpacking with my camera and really appreciated the quick release strap that went around your back to keep the camera from swinging. The cover protected the camera well against light rain, sweat and shock. I never had a problem with it. I have since upgraded to the Canon 40D and it took quite a bit of tugging and stretching to fit it in the standard cover. I just got the new Tamron 18-270mm stabilized lens and there was no way this new combo was fitting in the standard pouch. Enter the Large Zoom SLR cover. I am able to fit the 40D with a quick release tripod mounting plate and the 18-270mm lens with the lens hood attached into this cover. It is a bit tight, I think because the quick release plate extends the height of the body, but it fits. This lens has a 72mm filter size, but the body is even wider than that due to the stabilization mechanisms, and the lens hood is wider too, but they still fit in the zoom tunnel OK. This cover has velcro tabs on the portion that closes around the lens whereas the older, smaller model had to be pulled around the end of the lens. There is a little bit of room at the end of the lens pouch with this lens/body combo, but not much. The only real problem I have with the cover is Zing changed from the around-the-back quick release strap to a little difficult to attach and detach strap that hooks to your camera's neck strap. This does nothing to prevent swinging and swaying if you are wearing this while hiking. I plan to modify mine to add this functionality. Pros: Fits my 40D with Tamron 18-270mm lens + hood Good Weather / Shock Resistance Excellent Longevity and Quality (based on previous Zing experience) Cons: No around-the-back strap to prevent swinging when wearing it around your neck

Difficult Handling

Not nearly as easy and fast to use as the old style 'ready to shoot' camera cases. Its very difficult and takes long to strap the hood over the camera body and lense. Orientation of the hood is a new challenge each time. Therefore, I tend to leave the hood off and hang on the camera strap most of the time. So the protection of the camera is not as good. Unfortunatley, I have found nothing better yet for my Canon 30D with 16-35mm zoom attached.
