This is a beast, a tame one, but still has its claws. Its power to balance large dCinema camera rigs is superb: it can handle heavy and bulky units with no issue of overheating or power lag. My only gripe is in how my Blackmagic 6K cannot sit centered in the gimbal. This is only because the side bar does not allow for wide cameras (as the BMPCC is). This means I can?t take advantage of the ?Vortex Mode? where the camera rotates on its Z axis dead-center. I might have a work-around by mounting the camera upside-down. I?ll post a followup if this works. But otherwise, it?s an excellent kit with great options, powerful batteries, and capabilities. Beautiful product.

As of right now it works for half of my needs. After seeing youtube personality after personality and site review after site review say this was a beast but not without it's drawbacks, I was pretty much sold and thought I could overcome those drawbacks. I can in most cases overcome the drawbacks, however, with their latest firmware update it takes care of most of the notorious shake, but not all. I have yet to test this with the UMP 4.6K, but even if I can't use it, and this is one of the reasons why I most likely won't return, having a gimbal that allows for low sling to high and then a tilt for continuous camera x axis rotation that is smooth, it is worth it for me because of the limitation on the market and the price point. Now, this thing gets heavy fast, so if you think you're going to be able to buy this, set it up and run all day you're probably wrong unless you're the Hulk. On the otherhand, and what I will be using this for, short, 10-15 intervals is fine. Must. Rest. Arm.
