Patrick R : Can i set it to record to a computer hard drive and not install one in this unit?JEFFREY J : I'm sorry I don't know the answer on this one you can copy the recordings to a computer. After but I do not know if you can set it to record from the computer, you might consider calling the manufacturer

How is the surveillance saved and how large is the hard drive?ANDREW R : This unit is equipped with video output, though it's not HDMI. Data would be stored on a hard drive (not included with this model). Ultimate storage capacity would depend on the size of the drive installed by the purchaser/end user.
Shopper : how long is the loop of recording space?SCOTT S : Depends on the size hard drive you put in, and how high the frame rate and quality of recording is set. I set up a 4 channel with a 1 TB Hard drive.. It can record 3 weeks at highest frame rate and camera image quality before looping over.ANDREW R : I'm not sure I understand your question. Total recording time for this unit will vary depending on the size of the drive installed (a drive is not included) and the quality and frame rate of the recording.
