Review Summary
The Zoom G9.2TT Twin Tube Guitar Console is a powerhouse of tube power and digital modeling tone. Not one but two 12AX7 tubes provide unmistakable tube warmth, while 24-bit/96 kHz sampling and 32-bit signal processing transfer that warm, crackling sound with digital precision. You can even blend the tube and solid-state sounds with the Accelerator knob. The dual pre-amps hold two tones in every patch, for on-the-fly switching between two completely different tones with no switchover time.
The G9.2TT has an extensive array of effects that can be precisely tuned in real time as you play. The Z-Pedal is a true guitar innovation. It features back-and-forth operation and side-to-side as well. This exponentially expands what you can adjust on the fly. Just as one example, you could assign volume to the vertical motion and reverb to the horizontal for volume swells that reach echoing crescendos.
An excellent choice for recording or live performance, the G9.2TT has a USB connection, both for direct recording and for editing your patches with a dedicated editor program. MIDI in and out, an Aux In for CD/MP3 input and an external send/return facilitate virtually any configuration you would want to set up.
You can even integrate the effects loop into your patches, so all your favorite sounds from your present gear can be worked into your overall arsenal of tones. Twin tubes, twin expression pedals, twin pre-amps--the ZOOM G9.2TT gives you an abundance of all the tones, effects and connectivity you need to concentrate on the music and not the technology.
