The ZWO ASI990MM Pro is a cooled monochrome SWIR astronomy camera designed for shortwave infrared imaging. Featuring a Sony IMX990 CMOS sensor, it delivers 1280 x 1024 resolution with low read noise and zero amp glow. A two-stage thermoelectric cooling system reduces the sensor temperature by up to 95 degree F (35 degree C) below ambient, minimizing dark current during long-exposure imaging. The camera is suitable for astronomical imaging, photometric measurement, optical communication, and other SWIR imaging applications.
9.1 MP SWIR Sensor
The ASI990MM Pro features a Sony IMX990 monochrome SWIR CMOS sensor with 1280 x 1024 resolution, 5microns pixel size, 127ke full well capacity, and up to 80% quantum efficiency.
Two-Stage TEC Cooling
A two-stage thermoelectric cooling system lowers the sensor temperature by up to 95 degree F (35 degree C) below ambient, reducing dark current noise during long exposures.
Zero Amp Glow
Zero amp glow circuitry eliminates amplifier glow during long-exposure imaging, producing cleaner uncalibrated images.
USB 3.0 and 256MB DDR3 Memory
The camera features a USB 3.0 interface and an integrated 256MB DDR3 memory cache for stable, high-speed data transmission and reduced frame loss during long-exposure imaging.
