Questions & Answers

Cynthia B : How big is this? Width, height - thanks.LEONARD L : Cynthia- I didn't want to ignore your inquiry, but I haven't used the bag n a while- I recall it being about like shown in the little drawing- can hold an old time rangefinder camera and could help stabilize a DSLR. Sorry I can't be more helpfulPAUL V : The bag is approximately 8-1/4" by 5-1/2". Weighs approximately 8 oz.JAMIL R : 5 3/4 x 8 1/4 inchesDAVID P : The Pillow Pod is approximately 8x5.5x.75 inchesRICHARD S : It is about 8" by 5 1/2" by 1/2". I think it is a bit small to stabilize a bit telephoto lens.PAUL M : 9X6X1-1/2 It weighs only a couple ouncesCLIVE M : 8" x 5.5". It is about ¾" to and inch thick.JOSE P : It's small. Better use for a point and shoot camera.
Shopper : how much does this beanbag weigh?DEBORAH D : It weighs just slightly over 1/2 pound. About 300 grams I would guess. Very light.DAVID P : It is very light. I am not sure of its precise weight, but it it well less than a pound.ANTHONY O : It wieghs about 1 pound. I wish I could be more exact, but my camera bag was stolen several months ago.KATHY B : Its very light but if I were you I would make my own with a lycra-blend stretch fabric and fill it with lentils.JEFF G : The bag is very small and doesn't weigh much. I actually find I need to fold it over to support/tip lens up.
Shopper : can it be filled with other materials like sand at the destination?PAUL B : It could, but you would have to cut it open and sew it up again. when it arrived I was not happy, it is very small, and could only be useful for a very small piece of equipment. It is useless for my camera and spotting scope. I threw it away the day it arrived.BRANDON C : No, it's stitched shut.L W : I have never filled it with anything else. I use it to stabilize my tripod or to hold my camera at odd angles. If you want to use sand, like at a beach, fill a large ziplock bag. SERGIY K : The bag is sewed. To re-fill it you would have to rip the thread and then re-sew. Hope this helps.THOMAS E : YES. WE HAD OURS FILLED WITH RICE AND THEN GAVE THE RICE TO OUR GUIDE. I WOULD THINK SAND WOULD MAKE IT VERY HEAVY AND YOU WOULD NEVER GET IT OUT OF THE BAG. I TRY TO KEEP SAND AWAY FROM MY CAMERA.ANNE M : No - at least not unless you take it apart and restitch it! It is prefilled.CRAIG H : It can be but quite frankly this bag is too small to be of practical use.GREGORY B : I think that you can fill it with things that do not make dust. If it's tiny sand that makes dust, it will come out through the pores.R S : Not without opening up the stitching. The bag is inexpensive, but I found the POD (also sold here) is a much better product: more versatile, more stabilizing, has great stuffing (which can be emptied for travel and refilled with locally located stuffing like rice), and was actually more stable (has a strap you can attach a lens to, for further stability. This is more expensive, but for me was worth the price.

Good for very small camera

Good servive from Adorama as usual but the bean bag pod is so small, with so few "beans", it's of little use. Wish they offered a larger one.

Handy support

Versatile, small enough for a large pocket, thick enough to firmly support camera.

It's a Great Help.

I use this product to rest my camera on it when I take pictures out my window. I helps me stabilize the camera. I have yet found anything negative about this product.

Great for supporting a long lens on a fence or other rough surface. Light enough to take everywhere.

Must have

Just return from Yosemite, this little bean bag was one of the most used accessories (except times when you really need a tripod) - great results, highly recommended.

This is the bean bag I was looking for

Great for banisters, poles, low light stabilization, and setting up a camera on a flat service when you're trying to set a timer to be in the photo. Easily fit in my camera bag, and was a big hit among my fellow travelers.

Don't leave home without it!

Great for those times you use existing support and need something to prtect the bottom of your camera. Allows using uneven places to support the camera for more steady shots

Amazingly light!

The best thing about this beanbag is that it can be stored along with my camera in a very small camera case. It doesn't add much weight. I like beanbags much better than tripods so this is a great product.

Great Item necessory accessory

Adorama Bean Bag is great to have in your camera bag, always. I grab it to use when stability is needed in a hurry. Most of the time I can use instead of monopod or tripod when quick picture opportunity presents itself. Must have for camera bag.

Definitely worth the money

At first glance it looked like it would be too small without enough fill to suit my needs, but this product was designed very well. It's very compact and fits in my smallest camera bag WITH my camera, even providing stability within my bag. It provides my Canon 7D with enough support to keep it very steady when necessary. Best of all, it's inexpensive.

Good Inexpensive Bean Bag

I bought this bean bag as it was one of the more inexpensive bean bags on the market. I haven't had to use it very often, but it is very sturdy and can be used in several different ways - a good alternative when you don't have a tripod or monopod handy. The only complaint is that it is a little heavy if you plan on carrying it (along with other gear) in your bag all day. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Cheap and Worthless

Not hefty enough even for the smallest of point and shoot cameras.
