Shopper : Does this bag allow you to disconnect the waist belt from the pack & use think tank modular waist belts that are much more "robust"?vincent m : It does come off but I can't say if it works with the modular belt. I took mine off and just use the backpack straps.MATTHEW M : Hi, I know you can remove the waist belt so as long as the modular waist belts use the same type of connection, you should be okay. I didn't use this bag as a backpack, but it was an awesome bag and it was nice to be able to throw it over a shoulder if I needed to. Hope that helps.
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?ALAN S : The bag is not really ultralight, but it is on the light side of comparable backpacks. Purchased this for a trip that had carry-on constraints that were smaller than my other bags at the time.HUGH S : I love my Ultralight V 2.5 Backpack because it is very light compared to others that I tried. It carries two Nikon D200 bodies with a lens attached, two extra lenses, a 2x teleconverter, a 70-200mm zoom, a flash w/diffuser, four filters and two books or a laptop. Now that is packing. Also, it doesn't draw attention to itself. The straps are comfortable on my shoulders. It has easy access and it is very well made. Think Tank thought this one through.

LOVE this bag

This is the best camera bag I have ever owned. All my gear fits in all the spots and will not move around. I can use as a backpack and will fit as carry on overhead on a plane. Has a top outside pocket for my laptop so I need not dig or open the case to remove it. Good bag, Thinktank guys did their home work making this case.

Airport Easy

I got the Think Tank Airport Ultralight specifically for a trip to San Francisco, so I could get all my gear on the plane and didn't have to trust it to the TSA. It was *perfect* for getting a maximum amount of gear on the plane and it fit in the overhead bin *easily*. I managed to get a camera body, two lenses, three hot-shoe flashes, batteries, chargers, and assorted cables and light modifiers into this bag comfortably and safely. The outer pocket took my 15' laptop snugly, but securely. Note that the picture included a laptop sleeve that did NOT come with this bag. However, after adding my own inexpensive laptop sleeve to help get me through security easier, this bag essentially let me travel with a small, portable studio ON THE PLANE. Thanks to this bag, I checked NO camera gear or electronics at all, but safely carried it all on with me! I highly recommend this bag! It's got good, strong construction and handled my gear well. I'm very happy with this purchase. It was worth every penny!
