This is a great little tool for supporting my telephoto lens. I bought it to fit my 150-500mm lens and it fits it perfectly. This is not cheap plastic and If I needed another one I Would buy again.

I bought this along with a Nikon 200-500mm f5.6 lens but this mount did not work with it because the lens rest requires a stationary place on the lens during operation. Almost all the barrel elements move on my lens so the support was not useful. There is also a limited range of adjustability. If your lens fits, it's well made.

Useless if you have a battery grip on your camera.. well built (but overpriced) and you have really long expensive lens you're average telephoto low cost for example 70-300 lens will not work..

I have heard a few people take issue with the 293 Telephoto Lens Support due to the price, however while looking for stabilization options for using an older telephoto lens I haven't found anything that looks good at this price point, and this lens support, while not cheap, is well built and worth the price. I keep coming back to Manfrotto products because they are made of high quality materials and well built. I wanted to take photos of the moon and it's craters and had issues getting the lens and x2 telephoto adapter stable enough and this has come through and done exactly what it needs to do.

After much search for an attachment to support my camera with a long lens with push, pull & spin barrel, this item fit the bill like no other I could find. Unfortunately, it is also grossly over priced.

Great tripod for the price. Easy and quick setup. I use a Nikon DSLR camera with this tripod. I was looking for a sturdy, but portable, tripod that would last for awhile, and this appears to be it. For under $100, it has features and quality of the more expensive tripods. The head is smooth and the quick release plate works very well. Appears to be will build, but not for the larger pro video cameras. If you have a tight budget, this is a good priced tripod, with very good quality.

Quality tripod for great value. I bring it with me on most hikes, low weight, sturdy, and the size doesn't cause me any problems. It takes a bit longer to adjust the film head, so I switched on an old manfro ball head instead.

Have a Canon G12 and a Lumix G3. Both are lightweight and this tripod with a ball head is perfect for the kind of photographs I take. Quality is excellent.

The price was right, but I ended up returning this tripod. The ball head just couldn't support my Canon 5D and 100mm macro lens -- the lens kept sagging. The legs felt kind of flimsy to me too. I ended up getting the Manfrotto 190XPROB with the 804RC2 pan/tilt head instead and love it. It's far more stable and I find the head controls much less fussy.

Very nice affordable tripod. This is perfect for travel in that you can throw it in your suitcase and not worry about losing an expensive tripod.

The build feels strong and the controls are easy and sturdy. The tripod legs are a bit too slim to make it travel friendly, but this makes it feel a little flimsy. Just feels so, it has worked well in my few trips. Hope it lasts long.

Compared to an old (30+years Velbon AEF-3) ) this tripod's weight allows me to carry it more readily. The ball head also allows for quicker attachment and manipulation than my old tripod.

This is my first tripod and so far I really like it. I bought it mostly to use at home and its really stable. the only con is that it's heavy, so not good for carrying it around.

Recently purchased and haven't used it but have compared to a Velbon I bought 20+ years ago. Better head and much lighter and easier to extend the legs with multiple leg positions.

I needed a tripod for travel. This will hold a camera with long lens and flash attached. I wish is was just a little smaller to fit into one of my cases for travel. The leg locks seam a little hard to unlock, but that could be just me. I like it, but not good for studio work. Not good for heavy cameras over 6 to 8 lbs.
