I returned mine because it wouldn't work with my camera set-up.

This is much more fluid than a traditional head. There is no play, no slop. A pleasure to work with!

I chose this head because it works with the camera strap I have from Peak Design. A compatible plate fits the quick release head perfectly, making it east to attach and release my my camera quickly and easily. The ball releases and tightens easily, and it provides a full range of motion to meet most needs. I recommend it.

Purchased this head in conjunction with 055CFXPro4 tripod. Being new to this quality of equipment I was extremely impressed with the ease of setup. The ball releases and secures with minimal pressure. The ability to adjust to varying positions and angles is very impressive. I use this device when photographing landscapes, nights photos, and portraiture. A slight bit of creep is noticed, but some of it may be due to load being exerted on the tripod when you release the lens. It is easy to compensate for the variance.

Finally a ball head that stays put no matter what. Fluid power can not be beat when your looking for strength and this head has it. Set the tension know and pans smooth with locking with fluid grip knob. Love this head!

Was expecting better quality from a Manfrotto. Not user friendly and as a result I don't use it when I should. Sorry, I didn't exchange it.

The ball head provides a full range of motion, is easy to adjust and hold my Canon 50D with a 75-105 mm lens firmly in any position. Good product for the money.

This ball head doesn't budge a bit with my Nikkor 300mm f/2.8 and D80 on it, and it's a little lighter than my old tripod head (which couldn't hold the 300). It's easy to make quick adjustments, and I find myself out shooting wildlife a lot more these days.

Have it mated with the Manfrotto Neotec Black Tripod Legs & couldn't be happier. It was a great choice.

This is a great tripod ball head. It's very easy to use but on the down side it's heavy.

I bought this head primarily for macro photography. I have had several Bogen heads over the years and this is by far the best. It is well made. Its strong point is its strength. It is very sturdy. It locks and holds its position and has very smooth motion. The ease of use may incline me to take the tripod on long hikes more often instead of just a monopod.

Took it out of the box mounted it to my 055cxpro4 tripod and noticed that the quick release had too much play for what i was paying for. at [$] i didn't expect that. I sent it back and got the RC0 mount which cost [$] more but has no play and has 3 points of attachment versus 2.

Good item for the price. My wife & I both have the same one so the plates are the same on all our cameras.

Switched from a pistol grip to this. Pistol grip will probably be available in Adorama's used shop soon. Love the separately settable friction. While shooting a balloon festival recently, I was able to set friction to where I could reposition camera from landscape to portrait, and have it hold solidly, without touching ball head tension knob, while using 18-125 lens. Not that loosening the clamp is hard to do, but I'm lazy, and liked being able to skip a step. Simple to use, and minute adjustments were easily accomplished. Holds 100-400 mm lens rock solid.

I bought this head to replace a quite heavy geared head. I was amazed with this product - it's so much lighter and much easier to use. I tested it in Grand Canyon with my 24-104 L lense and it was perfect for long exposures as well as portraits (fast and smooth movement). I absolutely love the grip of the locking mechanism. It is a bit pricy but a definite "must have".

My first purchase of a ball head (previously had "all-in-one" tripod). Just starting to use it, but seems like it will be an excellent product.

The only problem I've had with this lens is that the lens will drop down a little after locking when using a larger telephoto lens. It will hold great after the initial downward movement, but you have to allow for this movement before locking. I believe there are better choices available for this price.

Excellent compact ballhead that combines exceptional ease of use and super stability. Holds well above its rated weight with no loss of stability.

This really is a very good piece of kit; the Italians certainly know how to engineer quality equipment. The ball head is very smooth, the adjustments are very delicate and do not require major forces. While this tripod head is expensive, you are buying quality.

Excellent compact ballhead that combines exceptional ease of use and super stability. Holds well above its rated weight with no loss of stability.
The 468MGRC2 incorporates the same "world first" hydraulic ball-locking system as the 468MG, and uses Manfrotto's popular RC2 Rapid Connect Plate, which is small and light enough to leave permanently attached to your compact or SLR camera even when not using a tripod.
Using hydraulics instead of a mechanical system produces a super-tight lock froma minimal turn of the locking knob, without sacrificing the smoothness of the ball's movement when unblocked.
The 468MG series is designed to meet the demands of professional photographers who require a light weight head but at the same time being able to support heavycamera loads up to 35lbs! The 468MGRC2 borrows the popular features found on Manfrotto's standard range of ball heads - such as independent pan and tilt locks with a 360½ pan movement and +90½ / -90½ tilt movement.
To keep weight low, the head is made of magnesium; and to provide smooth movements, the 2" aluminum ball is Teflon coated. The oversized ball locking knob allows for easy control even when using gloves. The 468MGRC2 also has a graduated engraved panoramic base.
