Questions & Answers

Shopper : Is this a network printer?HROLF H : Yes, the printer is a network printer. The 'n' in the model name indicates a network printer. If you go to the canon USA website, and look up the printer model number and then under Specifications, and look where the page says Standard Inteface(s), the 10/100 Base-T Ethernet indicates a network card which connects to the a network.MARK T : Yes this is a network printer, however it needs an ethernet cable, it is not WiFi. It is a double sided printer that works really well. I have owned it for over a year and am very satisfied w/ its performance.WALTER P : yes this is a network printerCHARLES C : Yes. Shared 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T (RJ-45) Full duplex/Half duplex • Supported protocol TCP/IP (Frame type: Ethernet II) AppleTalk • Print application LPD RAW IPP/IPPS FTP WSDDEVSI P : Yes, this is a network printer. I have been using at two of my businesses for about 2 years.
Shopper : Noticed there are different cartridges for this printer... 119 or 126... which one is better?FRANK F : As for the difference between a 119 cartridge and a 126 cartridge. The 119 Cart is only 2100 page yield whereas the 126 cartridge has a 6400 page yield. It might be noted that HP has the cartridge CE505a that interchanges with the Canon 119 and the HP CE505x interchanges with the Canon 126. Buying the HP cartridges are generally less expensive from the BOX stores. I hope this answers your question.POONHAR P : I use 119 for this printer. It's the original one. Not sure about the 126. 119 does have a high yield one that costs about $150.HROLF H : I've not used either cartridge yet, but have purchased the Canon 126. The Canon 119 Standard Toner cartridge prints about 2100 pages per $85 and shipping. The Canon 126 prints 6400 pages per $150. The cost per page is 4 cents/page and 2.3 cents/page. The answer to which works best is based on cost only, depends on how much printing and how much you can spend. The Canon 119 costs less initially but more if you print a lot. The Canon 126 costs more initially but less over time. I hope this is helpful.CHARLES C : The 119 II is represented to have about three times the capacity of the 119 for about twice the price. Other than that, there shouldn't be a difference. In the predecessor to the Canon, I used 6000 sheet cartridges in a moderately low-voiume scheme and saw no degradation over time until the toner started running out, so I will be replacing the 119 with a 119 II when it runs out of toner.
BHUPENDRA J : I am buying Canon imageclass LBP6670dn printer. I also need extra cartridge. How can I choose it. I can not see option?DAN S : There are many retailers that offer high quality cartridges for this printer that are much more reasonably priced than the manufacturer. It is worth it to check them out..FRANK F : The LBP 6670dn uses a low Yield Cartridge, 119(2,100 pages) or High Yield 119II (6,400 pages). This machine will also use the HP CE505A(low Yield) or the CE505X(High Yield) No Problems. I use the HP Cartridge.HROLF H : If you go to usa.canon website, they have a listing for the LBP6670dn printer. Look under the supplies and Accessories. There are two available the regular, Black Toner Cartridge 119, and high capacity, High capacity Cartridge 119 II. Adorama carries both The skus are SKU: ICAC119 and SKU: ICAC119HC respectively. If you do a search for Canon 119 on Adorama's site, both cartridges should display. Also if you select the Tech Specs tab on the Adorama LBP6670dn printer page and go to the "cartridge type" there is a cartridge description. Your printing usage and cost will determine which cartridge to purchase. I prefer the high capacity cartridge because in the long term, the pages cost less. Good luck to you.

Fast, Clean, Easy to Use

Replaced a worn out 11-year-old HP with this unit for about the cost of a new cartridge for the HP. It set up easily, once I put the correct IP address into it and hooked up the right cable. It prints quickly and relatively quietly and zips through large jobs just fine. Duplexing is flawless and default. Very pleased with the product.

Robust printer for home office or small business

This is a nice PostScript printer for a home office or small business. it is solidly made. It has built in duplexing. Connections are USB or Ethernet. Printing is crisp and sharp. Fast output. The printer is pretty loud when running. It is not directly AirPrint enabled. Using the Canon mobile printing app is cumbersome. Networking is challenging if you are not an IT person
