A real "mini" matte box with more than enough filter space for the creative.
An actually "mini" matte box. Other smaller matte boxes look kind of ridiculous on small mirrorless cameras. This one fits just right. It can fit a screw on filter, plus a cine filter, which is enough for 90% of my purposes. I can even use a 3rd filter if I go EF lenses on mirrorless with a drop in adapter.

Weighing a mere 140g (4.9oz), this compact matte box not only helps prevent lens flare but also provides an added layer of protection for your lens, safeguarding it from dust and other elements.
The Mini Matte Box boasts a versatile French flag offering 180 degrees of coverage, effectively controlling the amount of light entering the lens. It is equipped with both 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 mounting points, as well as cold shoe mounts, providing ample mounting options for a variety of accessories such as LED lights or microphones.
Included in the kit is a 15mm matte box support that securely attaches to the bottom of the matte box, ensuring lens stability during shoots (note: telescoping front element lenses are not supported). This matte box offers two filter options for enhanced image quality. The front of the matte box features a slot that accommodates any standard 4 x 5.65 filter. Screw-on filters can be easily attached to the adapter rings via the inside threading that matches each adapter ring diameter.
Once the adapter ring is attached to your lens, you can effortlessly clip on your matte box and apply your screw-on filter. The kit includes the Mini Matte Box, the French flag, and four adapter rings (82mm, 77mm, 67mm, and 72mm). Additional adapter rings in non-standard sizes (52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 85mm) as well as cine version adapter rings (80mm and 85mm) are also available to cater to a wide range of lens sizes.
