Review Summary

I purchased a pair of these about 18 months ago. I understand that replacing parts will need to happen normally and you have the replacement ear pads available. But when the headpiece bit is literally falling apart and leave black bits all through my hair after wearing them and your customer service team say that I can't replace that piece...leaves me quite disappointed. I only use them at work sitting at a desk and do not run or exercise with them. So now I have a couple of hundred dollar pair of headphones that technically work, but I can't use them anymore. I do not recommend these if you are looking for something to last at least a couple of years.

Well they are the standard Bluetooth headset with the on/off button and skip/forward button. The ear cups are small. The headset does not collapse any further into itself like other ones that make them easier to carry. The treble is great on them but the sound is to crisp. Sounds like someone crunching chips in your ears. But they do work with all good functionality.

It is good at the start but after some months no sound came out of the left headphone. After a week, the headphones just stopped working.

Oh, how very disappointed I am... I thought, Audio-Technica - must be great! Couldn't be more wrong... You cannot connect to more than one device!!! What?! I'm listening to music from my phone whilst on the go and I like to listen to my music from my iPad whilst in the office (saving battery life on the phone). You must first disconnect from your phone and then pair with your other device (my iPad) EVERY SINGLE TIME, back and forth. For this alone (if I'd knew) I wouldn't have purchased these! Sadly, I had no idea abou this. Then, when it comes to sound quality, VERY cheap. There is no distortion, the highs are crisp but there is no bass at all! I listen to all kinds of music, rock, pop, classics, R&B... There is no depth to the music. You cannot hear the bass guitar, the drums, the bassist, the cellist playing the low notes. Yeah. That is my experience, my opinion. I tried several wired and wireless headphones. Those from AT sound the poorest. :-(

These headphones were are very reliable and the battery life is AMAZING. I can listen to these for about 3-4 hours a day, without powering them off all day, and go over a month without having to charge them. The standby time on the battery is unbeatable and these headphones are a true value. The leather has deteriorated a noticeable amount, but that is due to my exercise in them which they are not rated for, they also feel lightweight and borderline flimsy, but have never broken or snapped and the flimsiness seems to be purely cosmetic. Nevertheless, the headphones have no faults and are a tremendous value.

I loved this headphone but ended up returning it because the volume max could be just a little higher. The bass just a little stronger. That's it. it'd be the best.

About High-Resolution Audio
The Move to Hi-Res Audio while many listeners may believe that high-resolution audio came along with the introduction of the Compact Disc in 1982, constraints on the disc's storage space always prevented CD audio (standardized at 44.1 kHz/16-bit) from fully and completely reproducing the original recorded sound. The advent and subsequent popularity of MP3s only made this problem more pronounced the necessary compression of these files causes audio information to be lost, thus greatly reducing the audio quality. But with lossless audio file formats, faster Internet speeds and storage space increasingly easy to come by (and in ever-smaller packages), the push is on to create audio equipment capable of capturing and reproducing true Hi-Res Audio, generally considered to be 96 kHz/24-bit or better.
The Hi-Res Audio logo certifies that a product meets the Hi-Res Audio standards. Per these standards, headphones must have transducer frequency performance to at least 40 kHz. As a producer of these types of audiophile headphones since 1972, Audio-Technica is well-positioned to provide audio solutions that meet the demands of Hi-Res Audio media formats, allowing for the full reproduction of their extended sonic characteristics.
