So far so good. Especially helpful are the support folks to help us set up with xfinity.

good router

WiFi disconnects during every other Zoom call. Every few weeks the router randomly switches into password recovery mode and only a total factory reset (complete with modem registration through the Xfinity app) gets you out of it. Never again in a million years.

All-in-one Junk

Previous Nighthawk of 10  years was fried by lightning. I know that the new one will last as long because it's plugged into a surge protector.

This is my favorite cable modem router I've used, and the app makes it easy to control the settings.

upgrade worth your money

I own a Home Theater company, and one of the services we offer is internet optimization. The c7000v2 is a winner for my customers. We replace the factory modem/router the their internet provider provides, because the c7000v2 works so much better, and has far superior connectivity coverage. I even use this model in my own home, and our showroom!

Great product!

I've been using the NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 (C7000v2) ,and it has exceeded my expectations. Setup was quick and easy, and it replaced both my old modem and router, reducing clutter and improving performance. Speeds are consistently fast, streaming and gaming are smooth, and I get strong WiFi coverage across my entire home. The built-in DOCSIS 3.0 modem works perfectly with my ISP, and I've experienced zero dropouts. Overall, it's a reliable, high-performance device that offers excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

We have xfinity and with the help of the xfinity app and these instructions, setup was easy. A little confusing through naming your wifi, but downloading the nighthawk app proved to be the easiest way.

I'm very frustrated i can't set up a schedule for the router.  I regret the purchase greatly.  I tried to look it up ahead of time and got a vague answer that I took to mean it did, but apparently not this model.

No parental controls or scheduling

The Nighthawk is now working flawlessly. But it took some troubleshooting. I enabled "DoS protection" and unbeknownst to me, it shut down the modern every time i visited websites that had more than just a few ads. (News websites, in particular.) There was no indication that it could be problematic to enable that option. I downloaded an Internet connection monitor and that helped me troubleshoot. Since i turned off DoS protection, the modern has worked flawlessly. Great speeds and a solid connection. I recommend! Just leave the DoS protection off.

Fast and great (now) ?

This Netgear router has been an absolute workhorse! I bought it five years ago, and it's still performing flawlessly. It's consistently delivered strong, reliable Wi-Fi throughout my home without any drops or slowdowns. Setup was a breeze, and I've never had to troubleshoot a single issue. For durability, performance, and sheer longevity, this router deserves every one of its five stars. Highly recommend!

5 Years Later

My AC1900 Nighthawk has been a tried-and-true workhorse for the family. Plenty of speed   reliable connection   great range. I'm definitely a NETGEAR fan for life having owned this product.

Great Product

No one told me until i was in my 70's how to save a buch of money so easy! How? THE NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK! The most difficult aspect of the savings was to return the modem i had been renting to the location of the internet cable provider. 1.5 hours! The install of the Nighthawk was a simple plug it in add my password and call the internet provider and have them reconize my moden vs theirs which I promptly returned. Now ibget tonsave $15.00 per month and a more reliable modem. Thank you Netgear. John a

Easy and saves money

I purchased this from Best Buy on their recommendation that it was a good router. However it's everything but a good router. I called Netgear to see why I couldn't connect my closed captioning telephone (I'm almost deaf in both ears) and my State Farm Insurance Ting (house electrical circuits monitor). Netgear technician said that I had to pay several hundred additional dollars to be able to get them on the network.

Poor router

I only just registered my modem on Netgear's website, and I get a chance to receive a $500 gift card if I write a review. OK. I bought it in early 2018 at Best Buy. It has never given me one bit of trouble, and I leave it plugged in and connected 24/7/365. It's a DOCSIS 3.0, and I know the tech is up to 3.1 now. But, 3.1 modems are way overpriced and only necessary if your internet service is 1 Gbps or faster. I don't need more than 500 Gbps, so there's no need to get a 3.1 modem. Hopefully, if/when I ever get 1 gig or faster service, 3.1's will have come down to a civilized price.

Exceptionally reliable

Tried the Arris WiFi Cable Modem G34 for almost two weeks, but suffered WiFi connection dropouts each day.  Arris blamed my IPS for a weak signal but the WiFi connection still kept dropping after my IPS made numerous attempts to repair the signal. So I ultimately decided that I needed to try another WiFi Cable Modem.  Once I exchanged the Arris  product for my  new Netgear Nighthawk my WiFi connection problems went away.

Excellent Technical Customer Service

We had been renting our modem/router from our internet provider for years. I like being able to access my own router and see what's going on. Setup was fairly easy, just had issues after a storm with the internet not working but that was a network issue not a modem issue. Only had it a few weeks but so far we are loving it!

New to Netgear Family

My old router got hit by lightning so I got this netgear. It does a great job streaming my tv and Alexa and all our cell phones.

Bought this router to eliminate renting modemfrom provider.  Called provider, whom set up the router on their end.  Haven't had a bit of trouble with it.  Had it for two years now.  Great product.

Easy Setup

Router replaced older Netgear router that almost never had buffering.  The new one buffers 2-3 times per 45 min show.  Contactd Netgear customer service, but never got a response back.
