After a little over a year of use (~6300 total power on time) black horizontal lines started to appear and flicker at the bottom of the screen.

It broke down twice in one year and the warranty is only one year, so if I want to repair it, they are asking me to pay 350 + tax, which is 80% of the product price.LG seems to have no intention of doing business anymore. There is a reason why the mobile phone business is failing. Next is the monitor and TV business.

Unfortunately, I brought this before the recent reviews came out about QC. After a year, I too suffered from horizontal lines and then vertical bars. Had I realized there was only a one year warranty, i wouldn't have purchased it. I assumed that something costing nearly $600 would at least have 2-3 years. My fault, but I always learn from my mistakes. No more LG's for me.

Horizontal lines after being in use less than a year... Reading through the other reviews, I'm not the only one, common issue... I really liked this monitor at first, but LG just destroyed my trust. If you bought it, return it while you can.

Nice graphics but I also got the horizontal lines problem with this monitor. I do not recommend it because after 10 months I got the same problem like many other people

It worked fine, but just after 1 year, I also got the horizontal lines problem with this monitor (32GR93U).

Was wonderful while it worked, but like many other reviews suddenly got the dreaded horizontal lines issue after nine months of use. Support was disappointing to say the least as the repair is $350. As such would not recommend this monitor and am loathe to purchase another LG product in the future.

I've owned this monitor for one year. The picture is great and everything works as advertised. The joystick button at the bottom of the monitor works well for making adjustments to the display settings. I haven't used the monitor for gaming. The only con I can think of is the minimum brightness is a bit high, but this will probably be a non-issue for most users.

My monitor developed the same flickering lines issue after 10 months of use (warranty still active). I am also not satisfied with their repair policy, they told me my only option is to send in the unit and wait for 10 business days before the technician makes the final verdict of its repairability. I need to use it for my work and I can't wait for 10 days, but absolutely no way you can get a replacement unit or a refund before the inspection is completed.

I've been in IT for 20 years. For the first time in my life I'm facing a monitor that failed in just 3 months. The display developed flickering black lines at the bottom part. The firmware updated, the GPU and cables have no issues. After a bit of research - this issue is pretty common. I'm writing this review since I read reviews and I hope this helps someone. DON'T BUY THIS MODEL!

Bought one in early August - started showing those dreaded horizontal lines that people are talking about just this week; tried swapping DP for HDMI and changing the refresh rate but to no avail. For reference, it was produced in March of this year as per the sticker on the back (since there are claims floating around that this only occurred with early models from last year). Absolutely despicable from LG that they don't even bother properly acknowledging this problem, let alone pulling the product altogether. All I know is that I won't be touching another UltraGear product with a ten-meter pole again in my life given that this is my first experience with it, so thanks for that lesson if nothing else.

I got 3 of these from amazon total....3/3 arrived and had a dead pixel within 3 hours of play time. I bought the first expecting it to be perfect. It had a dead pixel within 3 hours of play time. Each monitor after that was returned...then another repurchased to replace it thinking....this is LG maybe this just slid through quality control. After the 3rd one went back....3 strikes...I moved on to a different brand and model. Its crazy. LG is usually so wonderful, but save your money. I even called and spoke to LG about this before purchasing as several reviews on Amazon said they had display issues within 6 months. I was assured they had no record of this issue and if there were, they would swap out components to ensure the best possible product. Well.....3/3 of mine had a dead pixel within 3 hours. It wasn't black...it just stayed a weird green color and no matter what I did...the pixel wouldn't refresh to match those next to it. Really frustrating.

I was nice until it got horizontal lines on the bottom and is now put for repairs.

Within less than a year of use, horizontal lines began covering the bottom 2/3rds of the monitor when operating at less than 120Hz over any connection. This was especially a problem for using the monitor for work, where I had to plug it in via a usb-c adapter into my work laptop, which only supports 60Hz. The product was deemed unrepairable.

The monitor is beautiful but after only 6 months I started getting graphical glitching and had to send it off for repair which was really cumbersome. Also, every mode except SRGB causes my eyes to hurt and tear up after only 1 hour of use which feels like some kind of design flaw to me.

Received it for Christmas 2023. It's currently March 2024 and my monitor has been delayed for almost a week somewhere in FedEx's possession between here and the LG Warranty center in California. The monitor started getting thin black horizontal lines in the bottom quarter of the screen that would come on for a few seconds, then disappear for a few. Eventually the black lines decided to just stay put. When the monitor was working, though, it was pretty great and had lots of features.

I bought this monitor as my main monitor for streaming and gaming on YouTube. It's a perfect HDR 4k 144hz monitor for streamers. The color accuracy is amazing and the sharpness of the images are great! The monitor also includes HDMI 2.1 which is great to get that high refresh rate when on 4k resolution. There is absolutely ZERO latency and works beautifully in conjunction with an RTX 40 series graphics card. I would highly recommend this monitor for any gamers out there. The IPS panel is amazing for those low latency, high FPS games. I will continue purchasing LG monitors and TVS because they are always top of the line. You get what you pay for, and with this specific monitor, $599 is a great price for the performance you get! If I could afford another one, I would purchase another as my 3rd monitor for streaming!

I purchased this about a week and a half ago to replace a Dell U3011 that had died. So far, it has been a great monitor. I do miss the Dell's 16:10 aspect ratio, but the increased resolution makes up for it. I use the attached system for PCB layout, software development and video production / editing.

In less than 30 days of use this monitor developed horizontal lines across the bottom half of the screen. LG refused to replace the item and also refused my return request. This monitor was purchased as a Christmas present and sat under the Christmas tree for 25 days before it was first used. This exceeded their return window and they refused to make any exceptions. Very disappointed in LG's product and customer service. They should be willing to make exceptions to their return policy, especially for items purchased as gifts. Would give ZERO stars if possible.

After only 3 months of use I turned on my computer and the top half of the monitor was white and bottom half black. I was just gaming the night prior. Menu not visible so I tried to power off with same result. I called in for support and they ask for photos and tried the same reboot with no change. The only option for repairs are for me to go buy a box and send it back for a tech to look at it before anything can be done. They do cover shipping but I'm out a monitor for who knows how long. I'm really not sure if I can ever trust this monitor.

so far (less than a month): typical mid-range 4K IPS monitor. wanted to return this unit for Dell's cheaper (but better reviewed) G3223Q unit. but LG is 'one of those' who charge a restocking fee. unless a best-ever deal, will NOT directly purchase from LG (to avoid this archaic practice). also, the unit's pedestal feet protrudes too far/long. if one's desk is 24" or less in depth, your optical mouse will collide with it.

I've been using this monitor for 3 weeks or so and I really love it. The color accuracy is great, the picture quality is also top notch. The back lightning is a nice touch , I couldnt be happier it it :)

This monitor didn't even last three months. It started flickering during a game, followed troubling shooting guide on LG's site with no solution. I contacted support and they had me do a power cycle that bricked the monitor and it is now stuck on cycling through colors. To top it off I have to send it in for repair and that could take 3+ weeks. They won't offer a replacement. Stay away. $550 down the drain.

My last monitor, a 34 inch ultrawide, is still going strong after 10 years. It is a great 1440p ultrawide with a 60hz refresh rate. I had been reading a lot about high refresh rate monitors for a couple of years but nothing in the 32 inch size was ever available without some sort of big compromise. That is, until this monitor came out. This monitor has a single overdrive experience for the Variable Refresh Rate. What this means in plain English is that if you choose the "Fast" VRR mode for the display (which is the default out of the box), you will be a great experience whether you are gaming at 144, 90 or 60 fps without the need to change settings on a per game basis. For example, on my 7900xt with Ryzen 3700x, I can get 144fps on Forza Horizon 4, lock the frame rate at 90fps on Cyberpunk, or have around 45-50 frames on Starfield, and all games look great with no ghosting or other graphical artifacts. Colors on this monitor are great as is the brightness. While this monitor does not have true HDR capabilities such as a mini-led array of lights, the monitor is very bright at its out of the box setting of 40 out of 100. Dark scenes are nice an inky without any noticeable backlight blooming as can occur on other LCDs (such as my old ultrawide which did have noticeable blooming around the edges of the screen). Colors are great as per the supported 10bit color panel and thanks to HDMI 2.1 can be enabled at the same time as a 144hz refresh rate unlike other monitors with HDMI 2.0 or below. For those with 60hz monitors thinking about upgrading to 144hz but still not sure if it is worth it, trust me when I say it totally is. While there was a big jump in clarity moving from 1440p to 4K, the jump from 60 to 144 trumped the resolution increase. This is because the faster refreshing screen eliminated a lot of the blur when items are in motion. This was particularly noticeable in Forza when trees on the size of the road where incredibly crisp and there was no smearing or blur on the leaves as you drove past them. This was also noticeable at the 90hz rate in Cyberpunk when looking through the windows in the Downtown area while driving around in your bike. In the battle of ray tracing vs. high refresh, I now understand why so many people advocate for refresh rate as the impact on image quality is amazing. Lastly, the only negative in my review, since I do love this monitor, is the packaging. When the monitor arrived, it was nicely packed but there was no protection on the screen. The screen was enveloped in a foamy wrap but the screen itself did not have any sort of plastic covering as you see on TVs when you open them. It is for this reason that I believe a small scratch did exist on the screen which I only discovered after about 3-4 days when on a sunny Saturday morning the light from an open window on a powered down monitor revealed the flaw. As you can see from my two screenshots, you cannot see the scratch when the monitor is on (and believe, I have tried everything to catch it). So, since e-waste is bad, I won't be returning the monitor as I honestly cannot tell when using it. But, if you are the type of person who this would bother, make sure you use a small flashlight or similar to inspect the screen when you first get it. In closing, this is a great monitor worthy of 5 stars. The colors, brightness and 144hz screen all combine to make it a treat for the eyes and a great experience for gaming . I highly recommended it and believe that if you are coming from 1440p and 60hz, you will love it.

I have had this monitor for a couple months, bought it initially for home office expansion it works perfectly for that tons of screen real-estate at excellent resolution, I was curious and plugged my Play Station into it, my PS now lives in my office as I don't want to go back to my TV it just feels and plays so nice. Maybe it the distance I sit from the screen, maybe its the freesync, its hard to explain. I bought the monitor on sale and a bit skeptical on arrival, now after using it I wish I had bought 2. I've had no issues and will buy again.

I upgraded my computer and decide I needed a 4K monitor to match. Goodbye red gamer accents, hello sleek and stealthy. The new monitor design is very angular and cool, bonus is the RGB lighting effect on the rear. The included stand is very good however I paired mine with the ERGO arm for seamless integration. The picture quality is amazing, text is very crisp and fast 144Hz. Overall LG knocked it out of the park with the features and price. This is a monitor I see myself using for many years.
