The S3X-H is the most successful model of the SX-Series as the highly evolved Adam Audio's S3A. Designed as a three-way speaker, it includes two horizontally arranged 7.5" bass drivers, one 4.5" midrange speaker and the characteristic ADAM X-ART tweeter. The cone woofers are driven by three powerful 250 Watt PWM amplifiers that enable the S3X-H to provide amazing dynamic bass performance. Even if they are classified as midfield monitors due to their power capabilities, S3X-Hs are also ideal for reproducing spatial depth at shorter listening distances.

The top-class X-ART driver produces brilliant and transparent high frequencies. The three-dimensional spatial imaging and rapid, powerful midrange/bass response make the S3X-H extremely musical, dynamic and colorful. The S3X-H also provides clear representation of minimal changes in your mix and the corresponding sonic consequences. Long working sessions with the S3X-H are not fatiguing to the ear. ADAM Audio subwoofers are designed with one primary goal in mind: Achieving absolute accuracy and an authentic natural sound in the process of music reproduction. This means combining exceptional bass power with precision and clarity in every subwoofer. These elements are the perfect partners to complement the highly acclaimed clarity and transparency of ADAM monitors in the lower and lowest frequencies. All subwoofers feature both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) input/output connectors and comprehensive control options that allow for adapting to different room acoustics and requirements.

The Sub12 is a powerful subwoofer designed to extend the low frequency capabilities of any near or midfield monitoring system down to 22Hz.A sturdy special woofer with extended cone travel and a heavy-duty coil have been optimized for accurate reproduction from a bass reflex enclosure. The down-firing bass reflex tube avoids intrusive ventilation noise because of its generous size and shape.

The PWM amplifier produces over 90% efficiency and can handle critical passages without overheating for long periods of time. An additional output allows you to cascade as many subwoofers as needed. The Sub12 subwoofer provides a precise combination of low cutoff frequency (-3dB at 22Hz) and an undistorted high sound pressure level (115dB SPL at 1m).

Panel / Controls
All subwoofers feature a level control (-60dB to +6dB), phase switch (180deg. ) and a variable upper frequency control (50-150Hz). For the satellite outputs, an 85Hz high pass filter can be switched in to block frequencies below 85Hz so satellite speakers can meet the Dolby recommendations for theater sound and also to relieve the satellites from the lower frequencies. In addition, you can either switch on/off the subwoofer manually or use the option of automatically powering up the subwoofer whenever it receives a signal (signal-on/ continuous).
