The Church of the Highlands, in partnership with Adorama Business Solutions, has responded to the pandemic with a content production equipment kit upgrade that has helped it to boost creativity and grow its online audience.

What brought Church of the Highlands to boost its content production equipment?
The worship team’s video department (known as Worship Creative) was mostly focused on providing resources for internal use, like team announcements or updates and onboarding content for new members of the Worship team at Church of the Highlands. During the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, as the church switched all focus to serving its congregants remotely, there was an immediate demand for a larger volume of video projects.
While the Production and Creative teams continued to produce weekly church services and larger, churchwide projects, the Worship Creative team jumped into producing college and student services, music videos, and other music-related special elements for the church.
The Worship team was able to step in ensure the church could keep up with the desire for new and innovative content; however, the team needed additional equipment to do so. Given the need for equipment to be delivered quickly, the church turned to Adorama Business Solutions.

What is the scope of the project and what specific products did Church of the Highland purchase?
While the governmental gathering restrictions due to COVID-19 forced Church of the Highlands to stream all online weekend content, the church was already well-versed in streaming content to its 20+ locations during services. This prior experience meant the Production and Creative teams had an existing inventory of high-quality AV equipment at its disposal.
Given the sudden need to operate remotely and the resulting extra demand for live and on demand streamed content, the team quickly sought to supplement its technology. How will Church of the Highlands use the purchased production equipment?
The new equipment first and foremost affords the production team much more flexibility in its operations. As the number of video and live streaming projects continues to grow, so too does the team’s experience and creativity in finding new ways to spread its message to congregants. For example, the extra equipment has meant shoots can happen around the broadcast location, at different offsite venues and any of the campuses’ stages. This means the team can produce engaging content more frequently.
What will the expanded capabilities offer Church of the Highlands?
Building out AV equipment inventory has empowered the church to respond to the needs of its congregants during a time where they were unable to come together in person.
This has offered much needed connection and sense of community to church-goers who, because of COVID-19, were not able to worship at the church. A positive by-product of expanded streaming content is the growth the church has experienced in its online audience, which continues to this day.
What benefits have Church of the Highlands seen from the upgrades?
During the pandemic Caleb and the Worship Creative team had to quickly respond to the new demand for online content. This meant the team diversified their skillset and grew technically and, in the end, are a much stronger team.
One example of the benefits experienced by using the new equipment from Adorama Business Solutions is that Caleb and team are now producing videos to accompany their original music within their department – something that was not possible before the upgrades due to manpower, scheduling, or resource limitations.
