Westcott, a leader in professional lighting, has unveiled its FJ wireless flash system alongside two new exciting products. The FJ200 strobe and FJ80 speedlight are both excellent options for lighting a range of scenes, both indoor and outdoor, and offer compatibility with almost every camera.
The new gear joins Westcott’s FJ400 strobe, announced last year, and further builds out the impressive lineup of lighting possibilities.

High quality design for full light
The FJ200 is a powerful and professional strobe. Westcott’s latest release is small enough to fit in your hand, yet it still emits 200Ws. The FJ200 is designed with an extended flash tube and round head so light is dispersed evenly across the subject and background. Modifiers such as soft boxes, grids, and gels can be easily attached to mold the output. No matter what stop you’re set at, the FJ200 retains perfect 5500K color temperature.
The FJ200 works on the FJ wireless system, and supports high-speed sync through the lens capabilities. The strobe can be paired and controlled with multiple brands of cameras, and the FJ wireless system allows for 32 channels in 16 groups. The strobe has an impressive 0.5 to 1.3 second recycle time so you can capture one shot after another. If you’ve got a long production day ahead, the FJ200 can fire off more than 450 flashes on a single charge.

A multi-functional speedlight
The FJ80 is both an exceptional speedlight and a wireless transmitter. As a speedlight, the FJ80 has 80W of power and can produce a flash every 0.5 to 1.3 seconds, and more than 400 full flashes on a single charge. Similar to the FJ200, the FJ80 replicates 5500K color temperature, no matter the flash power setting. The FJ80 is incredibly versatile with a full 360-degree pan range and 90-degrees of tilt range. Users can freely use the speedlight’s four bounce flashes throughout the studio.
The FJ80 also acts like a transmitter within the FJ wireless system. It’s compatible with nearly every camera system — Sony, Nikon, Lumix, Fuji, Olympus, Canon — and is able to control FJ200 strobes, FJ400s, other off-camera FJ80s, FJ-XR receivers, and Canon RT systems. Just drop your FJ80 into your camera’s hot shoe and link up to the system from up to 328 feet away. And the 2.8-inch LCD touchscreen takes the difficulty out of operating TTL and HSS functionality.
