Nice camera but with repeated attempts to get the cameras to operate on WIFI no success. On line help was there but device did not work. I purchased 2 new ones based on the success of an earlier purchase of the same unit. Not so. They did accept returns though but not sure what is next.

I bought 3 of these cameras after trying Blink solutions. These are way better, I'll try to explain on pros/cons * Both are quite easy to setup. Amcrest a little bit more complicated (secure?) but system support is awesome (Kudos Becky S) * Amcrest have auto tracking and way better push notifications. Blink notifies you on dust particles and bugs * Amcrest have a awesome baby monitor. That is the main reason I looked for a in-house camera on the first place and Blink stop recording at 15secs unless you pay * Amcrest have better surveillance options: live view configuration allows multiple channels per name, video settings (frame rate, quality) setup, privacy mode, angle and color correction * Both have two-way comms. Amcrest talks and listens clearly. Amcrest's speaker recording is not as clear, this is the only item Blink excels, still Amcrest's sound recording is better I'll add the 5th star after a month use

Had the camera installed for a few months and it worked well for what we purchased it for. Ended up not using it for a few months. Now trying to use it again and trying to hard reset/figure out why it's not connecting to the wifi is extremely aggravating. It was definitely not this difficult to set up the first time..

Great product! They are the right price, fast shipping and cute shape. It's so easy to use and let's you listen and talk. There is a huge variety of options (detect motion, detect human, etc). Biggest bonus, no subscription to use! Just need a wifi connection. Super happy with this purchase, will very likely get several for around the house.

It works perfectly and it was set up with the software that Amcrest says to use Smart Home, but I run it on the Amcrest View Pro software because it is to sit in my kitchen window and look at the front door to see who knocks on the door. When people knock on our front door, they always move to the left about 4 feet from the door. So when we look out the peephole, we don't see anyone. So we purchased this camera for that reason. And it has a crystal clear image even though it's going through the glass to see who is at our front door. It even records to a micro sd card and we can review the images/videos any time that we want to.

The support SUCKS. I asked for help with this device and 2-weeks later, I have not heard ONE PEEP from Amcrest. I've decided to buy less expensive cameras from China. If I don't get any support, at least I won't be surprised.

Wi-fi setup was a hassle-- you need to use the Home App, not the Pro App. Sound doesn't turn off, ending up in loud resonance, echo, screeching. Save your child, don't buy this.

I was going thru the recording and saw something floating. It was around 430 in the morning so the camera is in night vision mode. 2 bright spots floating in the air and motion detection is following them around. Looks like something from the X-Files. Pretty creepy. Posted on FB, freaked everyone out. Paranormal investigators are contacting me about it. Camera works. GOOD

I've been using Amcrest cameras for about 6 years now, I have 3 bullet cameras on the exterior of our home, the doorbell cam, 2 pan and tilts on the interior, and then I just recently purchased the Ash21-B. All of our cameras connected to the Amcrest NV5216 without a problem, except for the Ash21-B. No matter how many times I reboot & reset, the NVR is unable to locate the cameras host. Similar to the doorbell camera you have to follow the steps on the Amcrest Smart Home app (which displays the cameras video feed fine) but it will not function on the Amcrest NVR. I'm assuming there will be an update to correct this software issue in the near future, but until then the camera is not very useful for me. Amcrest should do a troubleshooting video for this issue, as I have read into many forums where this exact issue has been discussed at length with no resolution in sight. While Amcrest has several videos pertaining to Ash21-B they do not have any videos pertaining to the Amcrest NVR not connecting to the Amcrest Ash21-B. The problem appears to be related to the changing IP address but I maybe be mistaken. I've also noticed the port changes between port 80 & 37777 when connecting to NVR after reset. Some people believe this is all related to static/dynamic settings but I tried both unsuccessfully. I've read into people having issues with Ethernet setup but my situation is not related to Ethernet as the camera was setup on WiFi & remains on WiFi only.

If you're just going to use this with the Amcrest Smart Home app, then it's lovely! Great video quality and the baby cam features look good, but heaven help you if you want to integrate this with something like a Synology NAS. Although there's a guide for it on the ASH21 support page, the ports randomly close and won't respond, I had a stretch where the camera wouldn't use DHCP and would choose its own IP address, switching between Wifi and Ethernet connections is a recipe for disaster, and I've had to hard reset the thing more often than I can count. A side annoyance is that there's no tripod mount on the camera. The custom one is useful and allows for a nice flush mount, but a tripod mount would give additional flexibility. Sorely disappointed because I really want to love this camera.

...it won't work with Blue Iris. I have a lot invested in Blue Iris software, I own six other Amcrest cameras that work great with Blue Iris, but I can't get this ASH21 to connect on Blue Iris. Amcrest phone support can't seem to help either. "It should be working." Thats not good support, Amcrest.

For me, there are two unusual things about the Amcrest SmartHome Wi-Fi Pan/Tilt Indoor security camera. ? First, the one I chose is black and all of the other cameras we've set up in various places have been white or silver. ? Second - It has a rounded oval shape, and all of the other cameras we've set up have been boxy or have had more complex designs that required manually positioning of the lens. The Amcrest camera is a single unit and by far has been the easiest camera to set up. It took a few minutes. Others were beyond frustrating. The clarity of the image can be normal or HD and the wide angle lens that can pan and tilt within the app is very cool and eliminates the need to set up the lens in a permanent orientation. The shape is unobtrusive. I imagine it wouldn't be noticed as a camera. The color black recedes and also makes it unnoticeable. As on most cameras I've used, there is a tiny amount of audio latency. This is only obvious if you're listening to the app when you can hear in real time what's going on in the next room. If you're observing remotely, you'd never know.
