No issues with the product. Between ordering and delivery was 9 days. I ordered through the TradeUp program, but never received a return shipping label and had to contact customer service to get one.

Upgraded from a BE650G and like the smaller footprint and upright design. Some transformer blocks must be on the end outlets or they block others. Like the Standard USB cord for Powerchute connection to PC. Would like to see two rotatable outlets for odd transformer blocks.

I had an APC unit for my desktop and when it recently started beeping all the time was rather annoyed it would do that. Come to find out these things have a limited life time (ca 5yrs) and my unit was already at 8, so I had gotten good use out of it. Then I found out that not only does APC take your old unit and recycle it, they also give you a rebate on a new one. Ordering, setup of the new and return of the old one were totally easy and the new unit works flawlessly (at least so far, have had no emergency yet). Good overall experience!

Got this as a replacement for 1 with degrading battery. It has a higher power rating than older one. It is smaller than my previous one but lacks protection for the phone and cable lines, and the master function, which the previous 1 had.

I have purchased (about a year apart) two BE850M2 for different PC's over the past 18 months for two of my PC's. Neither PC even at max consume even half the stated 450W capacity of this model. I'm aware APC's recommends only connected devices that consume max 80% of the 450W capacity, one PC was 287W max and the other 314W max, so I was well within their "limits". Both units failed and shut down without any warning despite having passed self-test via PowerChute within the month prior to failing. Luckily when they shut down they did not damage my PC's, but I would be very hesitant to purchase again a UPS in this product family. One had a 3rd party extended warranty, which I exercised for a cash credit not a replacement. The other APC is sending a warranty replacement so I'll see how that replacement survives, but I will be hesitant to use it on a PC or networking or AV gear I want to rely on staying up through input power problems. As an electrical engineer for 30+ years, I would not recommend this product family (the BackUPS with the USB charging ports on top).

purchased new a month ago to replace a 9 year apc battery backup. battery needed replaced so looked at batteries and the cost of a new and more advanced unit was not much more than a new battery plus got a return label to ship the old one back for proper disposal free.

This unit seems to outperform similar units I had purchased at retail. It seems to run quietly and can power a specialty computer plus a scanning attachment while doing 3D rendering for several minutes or more without beeping. We "test" it quite often because it is used on a mobile cart (which is more than what it is designed or recommended for) and these first four weeks have been stress-free.

I bought one of these to replace an aged unit, after I was told that APC would not cover batteries and units after a certain time frame, even if they were purchased directly. So at their suggestion, I upgraded to the Back-UPS BE850M2 and was promptly sent a unit that failed a few months later. Their replacement didn't last a month. I'm no working on a Back-UPS 1000, and hoping this too doesn't fail. APC has a serious quality control issue. The only good news in all this, is that their customer service has not been fighting me on this.

I use it for power backup of my Sleep Apnea machine and Tempur Pedic bed as during an outage I need to be able to put my bed down if needed or if I'm asleep I need to make sure I can breathe throughout the night. Theres been a few times in the past where the power goes out at night and I can't sleep without my machine and need power so I go without sleep or barely get any and am horrible the next few days trying to catch up on sleep. This is will be a life saver literally if the power goes out! well worth the investment.
