This eliminates the need for transformers, which can limit power handling, reduce performance, complicate installation, and increase costs. The IS Series' selectable impedance of 8/32-ohm allows for easy reconfiguration for Performance Install (8 Ohms) or Distributed Audio (32 ohms) applications. This means you can run up to 64 column speakers from one amp without transformers, resulting in lower costs and superior sound quality. The IS3.8P boasts superior horizontal and vertical dispersion for excellent coverage. Its linear array configuration delivers tight, controlled vertical dispersion with a long throw angle and ultra-wide horizontal dispersion. This ensures consistent coverage, allowing all listeners to enjoy the same high-quality sound, regardless of their position. Custom DSP processing further enhances the performance of the IS Series speakers. Advanced DSP voice presets, available for free from the Ashly website, provide sophisticated processing to deliver optimal performance for a variety of venues. This ensures a flat frequency response across the listening area without the need for complicated and time-consuming manual adjustments. The IS3.8P's unique driver array provides consistent side-to-side coverage, with virtually no deviation in the critical vocal range, even in excess of 80 degrees off-axis.
