I purchased a X542B laptop about a year ago. For some reason I got a blue screen and I am unable to access my laptop. I didn't get my money worth for the short time I was able to used my ASUS. Not sure if it was the fault of the laptop or something else.

I have been using my new Notebook for a few weeks now. I like the presentation and the portability, but I have a few complaints. Of course it came with a lot of bloatware, so I had to get my IT whizzkid son to uninstall and re-install windows. I don't like the touchpad: it seems either too sensitive or unresponsive so I will have to get a mouse. I'm also disappointed with the length of time it will last without recharging. I bought it partially because of the advertised "long battery life". However all things considered I would recomment this notebook.

First of all, Excellent and and very professional service from Adorama. Product arrived as promised and well packaged.That being said, I simply do NOT like windows 10.The ASUS ViviBook in my opinion is passable for the money. Battery operation is very short and limited. I keep mine plugged in. The AMDA9 is comparable to core I5 and as the keyboard rattles I recommend a mouse.Overall, this little computer works well as a stationary unit for browsing the news, checking email, and paying bills. Other than that I would recommend spending a little more money for a more complex model with more substantial keyboard and longer battery life.

I've only had this computer for a very short time but I am pleased and relieved in knowing that it has super capacity (storage) and that I can load the next ridiculous 12 bazillion gigabyte update by Windows without worry. Many of my friends have ASUS products and I had a small, refurbished ASUS several years ago and it worked well....until I dropped it on a hard floor. This one is nice looking, great screen clarity and compared with my cheap-minded last purchase, a real treat.

I am very happy with this computer. It isn't touch screen, which explains why it was lower in price than the once I nearly bought. My bad for not double checking that ahead of time. Asus is an awesome computer, and so far I highly recommend this one. I've only had it about three weeks. When it arrived the package was literally destroyed and I was concerned about the computer being damaged. So far, it seems perfectly fine. At this point I feel confident that should I experience a problem with the computer because of shipment Adorama's customer service will handle it with no problem. Even though this is a lower end Asus computer it is very well built and easy to use and understand. The battery cord clicks and stays in the computer, which was my main complaint with the Dell I had. The Dell battery cord would not stay plugged in, and kept slipping out. This feature alone is well worth getting this Asus. Asus is a top notch computer company.

I was a little nervous that this was listed as a notebook, not laptop computer. But, when I set it up and put it to use, it is a fine little machine with plenty of processing power. I would definitely recommend this. This is my third ASUS computer, and I completely trust the brand.
