Happy with my purchase, these look good and perform well for their price point.

I was impressed how uncomplicated pairing was. I very much liked the on/off function. The sound however is not good and I can only describe it as listening through a curtain. There was no crispness to the music and the volume control is inadequate. Overall I found the 'phones didn't match the sellers description. This is my opening impression of these phones and this is written after the first hours use. I found the wearing very comfortable but it went downhill from there, beginning with extremely small print in the instructions.

Amazing quality and great features. The noise cancelling is great and I love the controls on the side. Pretty good battery and very comfortable, great work.

I used these for an entire afternoon and found them superior to my Bose QC25s...much clearer, bright treble, better constructed, and overall more appealing. Only negative was that the battery was not replaceable and I had to charge it. I like consumer-friendly setups like AT's other headqphones as well as the Bose QC25. Overall, a great set and if you want wireless, I'd go for these over Bose QC35s.

These produce good quality sound, and the microphone that allows them to be a handsfree headset with my cell phone works great, as well! Very happy with this purchase.

I've owned these headphones for about a month now. Their construction is solid and will certainly survive a couple drops, although some might be turned off by the plastic. However, the plastic means these headphones are lightweight and rest easily on the head with little clamping pressure. Even with little clamping, though, they feel more than secure on my head. Sound leakage is minimal (as expected) and sound quality is definitely best when the headphones are plugged in. Bass lovers will probably not enjoy these cans, as the bass is defined but not emphasized - fine for me, since I don't like bass-heavy music. Volume is reduced quite a bit when in Bluetooth mode, but max volume should be more than enough for casual listening. Noise cancellation, as described, will not eliminate voices and higher tones around you, but will easily block lower tones such as engines, air conditioners, or turbines. Better yet, it won't give you the annoying 'cabin pressure' feeling I had when testing the Bose QC35IIs and the Sony. It doesn't interfere with the music too much in my experience, although it can be a bit quiet when coupled with Bluetooth. My previous pair of headphones was an old gaming headset, and it's been an interesting transition. I can wear these for 4+ hours with little fatigue and they travel very easily. However, while my old headset could function in wired mode without a charge, that is not the case here. Charge it before using it the first time - otherwise, you get a strange, weak, tinny sound. It confused me at first. So, if you've made it through my brief novel here, I would definitely recommend this product overall and I believe it is worth considering if you are looking at the $300+ Bose and Sony pairs.

AT brand, noise cancelling, blue tooth, over ear design - the features desired.

The big reason I got these headphones was for the noise cancelling. Now I own both the ANC9 and ANC7b. The noise cancelling on both of those are much better than these 700BT's. Why would a newer product have downgraded in the noise cancellation aspect? With the ANC9 and ANC7b the noise cancelling was great and I could barley hear anything when listening to my music when using at home, in the car and on the train. With the 700BT I can still hear things going on around me such as people talking or the sound of riding on the train. When it comes to sound the other 2 headphones are more clear. The ANC9 has really clear sound and pretty good bass while the ANC7b has clear sound but isn't good for bass. The 700BT comes in 2nd for bass. I do like these headphones either way though. They are really comfortable and the sound is still good although something just doesn't seem right to me about it.

First of all I ALSO own the Bose QC 35 II and I will be making some comparisons as I discuss. The Bose will be better at NC but the AT will sound better. Decide the relative importance of sound quality, noise cancelling, and price. For me, it would be the ATH-ANC700BT if had to pick one. I will be referring to the Bose QC 35 II as just Bose, the ATH-ANC700BT as the AT, noise cancelling as NC, and bluetooth as BT. Comfortable: Yes, for me on par with the Bose. AT might be a bit heavier but to me this is compensated by (for me) the more comfortable headband design which has a little wider circumference. Great Sound: I would much rather listen to the AT over the Bose. I prefer the tighter base and clear highs and high-mids. Noise Cancelling and Audio Quality: Moderate for the AT and seems to work better toward the low end. I believe the audio design is to provide best sound with the NC on. I am less pleased with the EQ with the NC off. More mid-range less scooped. With NC on I am very happy. However the Bose NC is stronger and over a larger frequency range. The Bose are more muddy on the lows to me and more subdued on the highs. Transportability: The AT comes with a soft pouch (nothing special) while the Bose includes a somewhat hard case. With the AT everything folds nicely like the Bose however the AT are slightly larger, and for comparison sake, in order to get the AT into my Bose case I have to force and bend the headband more than I like so I will be looking for a AT case that is a bit larger than the Bose Case. So this is another issue for travlers. The Bose will take up a bit less space and comes with a case. Controls: Here is where there is a lot of difference. AT has touch controls and Bose has buttons. Both work fine. The touch take a little getting used to. BT: AT connection is very solid (no complaints) but ability to change paired connections on the fly is limited. Bose has a phone app that permits setup firmware updates and BT connection control.

These Headphones are absolute beasts for the price. They are right up next to Bose noise cancelling tech for half the price. They look amazing and are extremely comfortable. The battery life is insane and really helps on long trips. Over all Audio Technica kills the headphone game. I have ATH-M50x special editions and these are just as high quality as those.
