The C674TM two stage carbon fiber tripod is a double tandem leg design that uses an adjustable, removable spreader, a metal 100mm bowl, oversized quick positive leg locks and dual spike feet with pads, making this kit perfect for heavy loads and rigged cameras.

I purchased these tripod legs four years ago, and they've been my workhorse for my fully built-out RED Komodo Camera Package (Monitor, Teradek, nucleus, shark fin). Initially, it was a "bridge tripod," but the more I used it, the more I fell in love with it.

Factoring costs and quality build, I do not see a reason to upgrade to Sachtlers unless they're deeply discounted. If you put Benro and Sachtler side-by-side, there is a quality difference. But that comes at a $5k price tag difference! For anyone who is complaining about that difference: Go into debt then! Do you want something more elevated? You PAY for it. Welcome to the school of hard knocks, baby.

The tripod has been used in documentary and narrative shoots in various positions and levels. There was NEVER a moment that I felt unsafe about the camera. My only quirk with this is when I go top-top with my full RED camera package. There is a subtle shake when panning the camera. At this stage, I went through ladder and high-hat situations only a handful of times.

They also include an excellent-quality camera bag with room for a tripod head, a nice little bonus that will save you a bit more money.

Overall, this tripod lives beyond its price point. You'll appreciate this if you're an owner/operator who is privy to costs. This may not be for you if you're a camera snob who only wears Patagonia. (PS I've been in Local 600 for over a decade; every project calls for different usage, so get over it.) This is a good product at its price. Just be honest with yourself about what you want.
