While the 1970s saw the advent of the first 2500 series synth modules, they were often prohibitively expensive and primarily composed of discrete transistor designs with a sprinkling of op-amps. These unique modules, renowned for their distinctive sound, were utilized by iconic artists such as The Who, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, and Kraftwerk, contributing to some of the most memorable records and film soundtracks in history. Today, the legacy of these modular synths continues to evolve and improve with the Behringer 2500 series Dual Envelope Generator Module 1033, a sophisticated and innovative addition to the Eurorack landscape.
This advanced module is an authentic reproduction of the original "System 2500" circuitry from the 70s, designed to seamlessly fit into a standard Eurorack case. The high-quality Dual Envelope Generator Module 1033 can be effortlessly integrated into your existing rig or serve as the starting point for your modular synth journey.
With its 10 independent controls for Gate Delay, Attack Time, Initial Decay Time, Sustain level from 0 to 10 Volts, and Final Decay Time, the 1033 Module allows you to sculpt deeply contoured signals. Whether you're crafting snappy, percussive sounds or long, evolving drones, this professional-grade module is your key to creating the perfect soundtrack for any setting.
Each envelope generator in the 1033 module comes equipped with Manual Gate switches for starting the envelope cycle. The module features both gate and trigger inputs, offering flexibility in single or multiple modes. Connect an external gate and trigger system, such as a keyboard, via 3.5mm TS cables, and utilize the four outputs to send the envelopes to other modules in both negative and positive polarity.
Installation of the Dual Envelope Generator Module 1033 is a breeze, thanks to its design that fits into a standard Eurorack case. Simply connect the power cables to the power supply and secure the module with the included screws. This allows the 1033 to blend with other synth modules, creating a truly unique and personalized setup.
Whether you're a modular synth novice or a seasoned collector, the Behringer Dual Envelope Generator Module 1033 is an invaluable tool for producing exceptional music.
