Extremely effective. I had purchased a splitter from Apple and even had it replaced by Apple. At one point they thought it was my computer and had me send it in for repair; they found nothing wrong. I than purchased the splitter UBS-C 4 port it works as it should. I have no problems.

My new Dell XPS 13 Plus has only two ports, so I bought two Belkin products to expand options: a USB-C 4-Port Mini-Hub and a USB-C to Ethernet + Charge Adapter. With both connected to the laptop, there are now six ports available for three types of connectors. They are small, high quality products that take up little desk space, and they travel well.

Does what is described. Compact so it takes very little desk space and port powered so there is no extra cord to deal with. Took back 1 star only because I would have preferred a jack rather than an attached cord. Recent issues with computer add-on is that any issued turns out to be the cords or their terminations. If this cord goes I loose the device.

I searched high and low for a way to simultaneously connect my 2 SSDs to my single USB C port in my Surface Book 2 using USB C and this was the only solution that I found. It is very nice and slim. The output cable folds nicely to store inside the profile of the device. What a nice design!

I love the hub. Small but useful. You can plug in either usb c or usb at the same time.

Bought this to connect a monitor that as USB-C on both ends to my Pixelbook while also being able to connect my keyboard. The keyboard works, but the monitor does not. What a useless product. They should have a list of things this CANNOT do vs. what this can do because the latter is very, very limited to the point of being utterly useless. Returning the product.

I have a Pixelbook Go with two USB-C ports. One I use for charging, one for video out. I got this so I can add a mouse. But it will not support video or power throughput. So it cannot go on either port and is not any use.

The drive is basically working, but it automatically mounts a second volume, Ravpower Tool." You can't erase or otherwise do away with it. And it doesn't work well with macOS Catalina. It actually mounts copy after copy of this volume, so the Finder sidebar shows 8 or more "Ravpower Tool" volumes by the end of the day. I don't want this at all.

Nowhere on the package where I bought this does it say that it doesn't support pass-through charging even though it comes with an AC adapter for who knows why. Will return it ASAP.

Not only does this not pass through power with the USB-c ports, but my Acer (2560X1440) monitor is just black screen, even when only using the lower res 1080p HDMI. (I have an HDMI to usb-c converter that works fine--directly into my macbook pro, but not through this black box.) Wow.

Again, Belkin needs to address more clearly that this WILL NOT passthrough charging. Honestly, not really sure why that wasn't a thought it the engineers head when designing this product. 4 Ports to power and connect all my peripherals but no way to keep my MacBook Charged.

Like for a few other users it shuts down my WIFI nearly completely. Theres still some traffic according to MenuMeters extension but this has no use when I am not able to use my WIFI with this plugged in. Belkin should fix this problem asap.

Belkin has a very good reputation so this is odd. I plugged this into my new Macbook Pro and then tried to use my external monitor through the USB-C ports. Would not work. Monitor plugged directly into Mac works fine. Next it tried the USB 3.0 ports with a USB SD card reader. The reader lights came on but the card was not recognized. When I plug the reader in through a simple converter cable purchased at Walmart it works as expected. I purchased this hub through Amazon so I am returning it.

This hub has _no_ power delivery. But it never stated otherwise. It is what it is advertised (and quite good at it). It is nothing more, but you cannot blame Belkin for that. Although Belkin might consider highlighting this fact in the description, as most users will buy it for Macs with no other ports to charge... but that tells more about apple... (no offense, I am a MacBook owner too)
