This reliable and durable device is designed to streamline the connection between your FOH (Front of House) console and the talent monitor, eliminating the need for a dedicated router.
The S16 I/O Box boasts 16 fully programmable, high-end mic preamps, along with 8 analog, balanced XLR returns at the stage end. These features are housed in a robust and user-friendly design, making it an ideal choice for live performances and studio recording sessions.
Incorporating AES50 networking with KLARK TEKNIK SuperMAC technology, this innovative I/O box ensures high-quality audio transmission and control. The 16 MIDAS-designed XLR inputs are fully programmable and can be remotely controlled from the x32 digital mixer, offering unparalleled convenience and flexibility.
The 8 balanced XLR outputs provide ample sends to the stage for mains and monitoring, while the front panel allows for level and phantom power control for all inputs and outputs. An 8-LED meter and 7-segment display provide clear, real-time feedback, enhancing the user experience.
The dual AES50 jacks allow transmission of all audio and MIDI data to the x32 FOH with a single Ethernet cable. This feature also enables up to three S16 boxes to be cascaded for maximum channel count, allowing for the transfer of 48 bi-directional audio channels at 24-bit / 48 kHz on just one CAT5 line between the FOH console and the stage.
An additional Ultranet output provides 16 channels for use with the P16 personal monitoring system through the Ethernet cable, allowing each musician to create their own custom mix from the stage. A pair of ADAT ports can carry additional sends to the stage beyond the 8 analog outputs or split the 16 inputs. Lastly, a USB jack allows for future firmware updates, ensuring your S16 I/O Box remains at the forefront of audio technology.
