I own 3 of these Manfrotto compact light stands.

This is my 3rd purchase of the Manfrotto 1052BAC Air Cushioned Compact Stand. A durable high quality light stand with a solid retractable base. I really appreciate the ability to collapse and connect the 3 stands together for storage in a bag.

Very Nice!

It's a very nice light stand and well built. It's just a little too lightweight for a Flashpoint AD600 as it was a little wobbly with this flash head. For lighter weight flash heads it would be great!

Really like the sturdiness and the way they attach together for transport. Quality is evident and should last many years even with daily use. I think the optional bag should be discounted when more than 1 stand is purchased ; )

Stackable and space-saving for the studio-on-the-go!

I love these stands and since I am often setting up and tearing down a studio that must also fit inside of my car, these stackable, reliable stands are the perfect choice for me. They are quite lightweight though, so for the moments that I'm lighting someone outdoors, I recommend a sandbag!

Practical, lightweight, dependable

Everything works exactly as described! I had been using a tripod and this works a whole lot better. Much easier to use for lighting purposes. I love that it's lightweight and easily transportable.

Nice Stand!

It's a great stand. Few little things I would improve on, but overall it is a quality lightstand. The tightening screw for the legs comes loose occasionally, and I'm worried that the bolt could fall out. I also wish that the resin lockers in the sections would unscrew so I could take a section out so it would fit in a suitcase. I need to travel with my gear sometimes, and my old Bogen/Manfrotto lightstand could easily be dismantled into 2 pieces, and then the 2 sections would fit in a standard 28" suitcase. But it seems like it would hold a lot of weight and be very sturdy.

i have 5 of these stands. 2 for my seamless and 3 for my pcb einstiens with modifiers.. Setup and breaking down is a snap. I love the stacking feature when traveling. Saves time and trunk space.

Best lightstand I've ever used.

Great lightweight light stand. I have 2 of them and I'm ready to get 2 more. I use it with Canon 580EX II flashes and Flashpoint 320A Studio Strobes. Very sturdy, fantastic design, stacking system works wonderful. Not the tallest but plenty of height for most uses. I was debating this and 1005BAC. 1005BAC would be better for studio work but location shutters will appreciate light weight 1052BAC. Perfect for strobists.

Great lightweight light stand. I have 2 of them and I'm ready to get 2 more. I use it with Canon 580EX II flashes and Flashpoint 320A Studio Strobes. Very sturdy, fantastic design, stacking system works wonderful. Not the tallest but plenty of height for most uses. I was debating this and 1005BAC. 1005BAC would be better for studio work but location shutters will appreciate light weight 1052BAC. Perfect for strobists.

Its lightweight and compact-size makes it a practical tool for your lighting support needs. With a patented Quick Stack System (QSS) portability is the key feature.   • Riser Lock Handle: A bi-injection casting provides the photographer with a better ergonomic grip
