I bought this to use when traveling and it's amazing. Folds up to fit in a carry on yet while in use works great as a light stand. Light and easy to transport definitely recommend this product.

Great for holding an active fill light below a subject. It can also be hidden behind a subject as a backlight stand, albeit with a wider footprint than some other available options. Despite its smaller size, it is surprisingly heavier than my Manfrotto 1052BAC. And since I'm comparing the two, it's also worth noting this stand is not air cushioned. Not too sure I'll find much use for the leveling leg as I would only feel confident using this light-duty stand indoors; for outdoor use, I'd definitely have an assistant holding it up. These travel very well since the legs fold in an inverted position. It fits in my camera backpack's bottle compartment which doubles as a tripod holder, and it can fit in a carry-on size luggage. There is one oddity and that is with the leg that is inline with the locking mechanism for the base; unlike the other two legs, which fold flush against the center column, this leg is impeded by the thumb screw that locks the legs. This creates a pressure point where the leg could potentially bend, for example in transport if it is packed tightly with other equipment. Just be mindful and it shouldn't be a problem. Other than that, these work great for when you need to get a light down low and don't need the stability of a heavier duty stand.

I usually use larger stands but wanted to add a couple of smaller stands for travel. I used them on a job the other day and they worked well, but felt a little light to use without a shot bag or sandbag with the 1x1 panel light and 90W battery I was using to power it. It works … will get the job done, but would go with heavier stands if being used in a public space or outdoors with larger sources mounted.

So far I trust it, the barrels are much more solid than I expected making it appear to be much stronger. the bottom legs are also very hard, It will take a lot of strength to bend them. the compact factor is great, I no longer get my backpack caught on trees for it being to tall lol
