Good but needs some fixes.
This is a quality recorder. The pro res HQ files record at around 180MBPS which beats the 50mb native to my A6300. The audio pre amp is very good with a very low noise floor. It's very light . Lighter than it looks in photos. Battery life is good. would be better with GH4 batteries.The strange thing is that when I hooked it up, the recorder would only read 59.94fps.Even though the camera was set at 24fps. no matter what setting and no matter what changes I would make it would not read 24fps. What fixed it was turning it on and then cycling through the A , P, and S modes. when I hit P mode the recorder switched to 23.98. I then went back to M mode and it stayed at 23.98 which is what I wanted. Still won't recognize anything other than 59.94 or 24fps. Since shoot most everything in 24fps its fine. I think this is a sony memory problem. BM needs to find out why this happens and fix it. work with camera makers to make sure it works without all the fooling around. The LUT feature is great.

great unit!
overall i like this monitor
the only thing that i don't like( and this is knit-picky)
is that it does not have a built-in speaker to
monitor audio (in case you forget headphones).
thats it. (I told you it was minor)
I also use two mountain bike tire caps to protect the SDI ports.
i would mos def recommend this monitor.
