I have had this printer for several years and I love it. Great clarity. Affordable. However, recently I have had an issue that it needs to be unplugged every time I try to print and it will no longer print from my ihone. I was unable to get help from technical support to resolve these issues. When I replace this printer, I will likely do so with another Brother printer because for a number of years it was the best printer I have ever used.

The machine itself is fine. I'd had great luck with Brother before & wanted the same manufacturer. However, wireless products are supposed to be easier. While I appreciate the absence of wires, it took me well over an hour to set it up. I got it working after I stopped listening to Brother & set it up myself.

Unit worked well until recently when wireless printing failed showing deep sleep and a printing que. Connecting with a USB cable works. It will however print wirelessly from my phone . . . ?? Set up the printer on a separate wireless LAN and experienced the same. Have the latest drives both on the machine and our windows PC Very frustrated.

The machine is no problem. Sometimes trouble connecting to internet. Customer service is Sometimes below par. You cannot talk to anyone on the phone You can only text. What if you cannot text. Poor quality of service. Hours of service of operation is only good for east coast people. As i am on the west coast. I literally had somebody on their for 10 minutes and tell me that it is their time to go home and cut off the internet connection. I had to call back the next day.

Two Star Rating. For our home use, this actually a very good printer, copier and scanner. The significant problem and reason to grade it as a two star is because of the Deep Sleep function. From my investigations through the internet community as well as Brother Customer Service, there is no easy solution to clearing a deep sleep. Sometimes it just clears itself and prints files that have been sitting in the queue after a few days. So when you want to printed a document instantly, most often the printer is not available. I wouldn't recommend buying that make and model simply for that reason.

I bought it last year about a year ago or so. I have issues with the paper trays? I still don't know really how it function that specific ? also when it shuts off automatically it also shuts out the outlet and circuit breaker ? I may need to call in order to get the printer working again. I do like the printer but it's a bit complicated to my taste

I have owned this printer for about 6 weeks. The first weeks went by uneventfully, and wireless setup was pretty easy. But then, all of a sudden, the printer decided to stop printing in the middle of a print job. The message I got was that there was no internet connection (which of course was impossible, since our 3 computers, 2 iphones and 2 ipads were all connected at that particular time. After about 2 hours of effort, I was finally able to get the printer to recognize our network and all seemed fine (in terms of my desktop - but then I was unable to print from my laptop, which was located in another room. That problem too was eventually resolved - but in both cases, I had to reinstall the drivers, etc. from the DVD and answer a large number of questions. At first, the printer found a network that was not ours, but it insisted that this was the network for which I was to provide a network key. Of course, that did not work at all. After struggling, I finally succeeded, but I am now not sure I can print from my ipad or iphone. I am not happy with all the effort I had to put in to print a simple job.

It has been “squirrelly”. Since purchasing. Tech support basically said “don’t know what’s wrong, good luck with your new $150 brick....

I divide my year spending winters in the California desert and the balance at my permanent home in Toronto, Canada so I have two Brothers laser printers, one in each home and I am able to use both without any trouble.

We bought this printer for my 86 year old mother to use. Granted she is not super computer literate, but it really hasn't consistently worked for more than a few days since purchasing it. We can't seem to make it work wirelessly and now it isn't even working with a printer cable. We thought it would be user-friendly but turns out ....its not.

I love this printer, the only thing I would like to see it come with is a printers for dummies book as I am not a pc geek and had to spend a lot of time figuring out how to scan the easy way, etc. Also it is hard to see the screen on the printer I use a flash light.works great!!

This printer was very easily linked to our iPads (2 and MacBook Air (1) following the instructions obtained from the Brother website. All printing so far has been perfect. A nice product for Home printing/copying (1 or 2 sides) at a reasonable price.

Very difficult to get it connected to a network, however, it does print well. We have had it drop out of the network and quite a pain in the you know what to get it connected again. One time I had to travel, and the printer got off line and my wife just gave up and bought a cheap printer just to resolve her immediate problem. I don't recommend it. Even the display is way too small for tired eyes.

I love this printer. It prints clearly and quickly. Connecting it to our families three computers was very easy and I'm not so good at tech stuff. My wife sometimes uses the DCP-L2520DW for printing worksheets for her children's Sunday School class and I seem to be using it a lot for new patient forms for my new doctors.

I bought this for our home. I actually threw away a nearly brand new "Ink Jet Copier/Scanner" because the ink cartridges kept drying out and they are expensive to replace. The Brother CDEP-L2520DW is simple and copies every time. It is not color but I don't care because it's dependable for what I need.

Our new DCP-L2520DW scans, prints duplex, is wireless, and works great when we can get it to turn on. It goes into Derp Sleep mode and no matter what we do to start it, it won't come online and print until we either unplug and wait, or totally ininstall it then reinstall. Have read everything on Brother to find change the setting from Deep Sleep to Auto on. If we adjust Menu, it wastes paper every time but is still offline. Help!

The DCP-L2520DW is good in all facets with one serious inconvenience. Print quality is fine and the ability to make copies is very convenient. The fly in the ointment is the inability to disable "Deep Sleep." This means that if the printer has been idle for a significant amount of time, it has to be power-cycled in order to start printing / copying. It undermines the usefulness of having a wireless printer when someone has to walk to another room and power-cycle the printer in order for it to print or copy. Our printer has been updated to the latest available firmware. We contacted Brother support and were told that there was no fix for this issue.

Very satisfied with this purchase

I hardly got any use out of an E____ inkjet color printer for years...what a disappointment. The printer was free with my computer, but what I spent on wasted ink over the years far outweighed that. I researched online and decided on the Brother DCPL2520DW, bought it last month, and am entirely satisfied, even though it prints only black. Black is all I need, really. My starter toner is still going strong, scanner works great, everything is great so far. A printer should be no-hassle like thi...

Just what I needed.

Thus far I have found this scanner/laser printer to be excellent. It's printing sharp and crisp. The main reason I was in the market for a laser printer has already proven out. You see, I DON'T print a lot of things from my computer every day. I'll have a burst of printing to do and it might be weeks or MONTHS before I need to do so again. Such extended down-times usually resulted in clogged/dried ink nozzles for my ink-jet printers and I'd have to buy new cartridges. A laser printer is an en...
