I already threw this device away. Only printed about 100 sheets before it failed. I even blushed a new toner and got another 15 sheets before I just tossed it.

It would be very helpful if the printer offered an option to print photos in black and white. Currently, printed images come out in dark gray and black tones, making them difficult to see clearly. As a result, we have to rely on third-party software to adjust the image before printing. Adding a built-in black-and-white photo printing mode would greatly improve the experience

The toner cartridge received with the printer does not last the 700 pages advertised. I had issues with it after only 300 printed pages. I have had three problems with the printer within the first 2 months and on line assistance took > 1 hour and kept getting things incorrect. The experience was very frustrating.

I really like this printer. I have owned probably 20 or more printers, and go through a lot of paper. This printer is fast, easy to set up, and because it connects vis wifi I can set it anywhere. I particularly like the double-sided printing. I use less paper now; I usually didn't jump through the hoops go double-print with my older printers. Now I need printer just like this one, for downstairs where my computers are. Mt wife had dibs on this one and keeps it upstairs where she works.

I create homemade greeting cards and want a laser printer for foil techniques. This is the second Brother printer that I have purchased and the first one lasted many years. I think i only replaced the toner once. This one has proven to be reliable and allows me to create beautiful foiling techniques.

Our old Printer failed after 10 years so it was replaced with another Brother HPL-L2400D. It's quieter than the old one, with the same excellent print quality. The original failure was a broken piece on the toner drive which might have been the aftermarket product so no more experimenting with "compatables". The printer works fine and the cost is very reasonable. My only gripe is the software required. It's not as intuitive as you would hope and cumbersome. It frequently left me to wonder if it was doing something or had finished. Finally after several false steps it finished and things worked fine after that.

I bought the printer at Staples On-Line after doing research at Staples retail location. No one at Staples knew of the incompatibility with Apple Sequoia 15.3. I could not download a printer-driver from Brother because there was not one available. So your printer is sitting in my attic gathering dust. I went out and bought an HP MFP printer and that unit comes with an Apple print-driver installed. The HP unit was "plug and play" right out of the box, and I love it. Brother needs to make it clear in their advertising blurbs that HLL2400D is not compatible with Apple Sequoia 15.3.

We recently purchased a brother HL - L 2400 D Printer, monochrome. I only went with monochrome because I did not like purchasing all the different color cartridges with other manufacturers. since we bought this printer, it has worked flawlessly and is extremely fast. It is capable of two sided printing. However, you have to go into the settings or the print screen each time you print if you were only printing single sided multiple pages. Otherwise it is a fantastic buy well priced.

Really like this printer. Like the square style that takes up small space and the paper comes out the top and not the front works great in the space I have. Easy to setup and use. Prints out fast and prints are very good. Have only had this for a short time but believe this will do just what I want & need.

OK, it's a cheap printer but still if there are drivers for Windows and Linux, why not Apple? Without drivers, even though the printer is shared on the network I can't print from our Apple products. The windows setup was a bit funky. The installer program did not seem to use the correct driver, gave a lot of warnings instead of just doing its job and I never got the suite app to work. So I had to manually install the correct driver, since I did want to be able to print on both sides of the paper. You get what you pay for, but really? LInux CUPS but not Mac? (why do you need my age to review this product? ageism?)

With the low price I did not expect a lot from the printer but I was very surprised. The speed and clarity is great. It beets my HP for sure which gave me nothing but problems and cost 3 times the price. I love the printer

I have had two other Brother printers that worked great with my Macs, but this one WILL NOT work with a MacBook Pro. I didn't even think to check if it would since both of my other laser printers worked great with no issues. I am very unhappy and I got rid of the box and packaging and am now unable to return it. Be sure to read about compatibility with Macs!!!

This an excellent basic printer. Pages are sharp, never a misfeed, and, for me, the duplex option is terrific. It's quick.

Called Brother about using this printer on MacBook Air M2 and M3 chip. Rep. Told me that once I plug USB Cable the computer should show genetic printer. It printed to the M2 chip MacBook but no Success with the M3 chip MacBook. I have a HLL2300D and all my computers and laptops print to it. I bought the HLL2400D for my sister. Had to return it.

This is a great printer. I have never liked inkjet printer because the ink dries up and it's expensive. This printer has none of those issues. My printing is only documents and black and white images. This printer is reliable and the print is clear and precise. The ink in reasonably priced. I love the double sided printing. Saves paper. I would highly recommend this printer.

After much agonizing over types, styles, prices and brand names I arrived at what would be best for my situation... instead of ink jet or mega tank the laser printer won. Now ...what kind? I chose Brother and Im thrilled at the outcome. I dont print much anymore but when I do its going to be something essential . The laser is ready , boots up smoothly, prints quickly and the page is sharp and clear. I did have a slight problem in setup., which was downloaded from the Brother site. It asked for some number that was supposedly on the printer somewhere.....it was not. So I kept looking and found another Brother site for setup and this one worked beautifully. Ot only took a minute or so and it was ready to rock. Since then Ive printed several pages for both written word and artist reditions of animals to use for hobby work and all came out perfectly. I even like the size.of the printer which has a footprint about the same dimensions as my old ink jet., but with a distinctive more compact style. And for the price I paid.....I'm super impressed.

It is a reliable printer, my daughter had one for more than 12 years. The only problem I see is that if the image is not clear, there is no way to adjust the output. This just happened as all I had was a photo of the original document. Although several print sizes are available, there is no way to enlarge or lighten the image to explore a more legible print out. However, for normal printing jobs it is hard to improve on for the price of the printer.
