Printer approaches garbage. Streaks all over the output when you use the paper feeder to copy. Have to power recycle after each user (3 here) to allow the next user to print. Never got it working from my iPhone, can't find printer on network, although 3 separate Macs/PCs find it just fine.

Economical and good printer for home printing. Somewhat temperamental in its WIFI functions and that is why I only gave it 4 stars, but the customer support is good and I do love my printer.

Love my Brother! Bought this printer over 5 years ago for it give office and it's still running strong! The only problem I've ever had was operater error! Definitely worth the investment!

Bought this via Amazon in 2015, and it has worked like a champ ever since. For the last two years, it's been getting a tougher workout as my print jobs have increased substantially. I was really tired of my old ink jet printers drying up between my then-infrequent uses in my home, so I researched and invested in this toner-using machine. That was the right move. The toner cartridges are not cheap to replace. I tried some off-brand cartridges, and I regretted it. They leaked and produced bad results. But the printer's function was not impacted, thank goodness. Lesson learned. Great machine that uses laser technology made affordable. One caveat: My printer does not do automatic double-sided copying, nor did I expect it to at the price I paid. The wireless function has been great, even in my old house. It is not super fast, at least compared to the fancy washing machine-sized printer where I work, but it gets the job done every time.

bought 2 at the same time and 1 soon after one very little use and all 3 stopped prinying properly at same time till then it worked great

I bought this printer for two specific purposes. 1. Create designs printed with toner so I could add permanent foil to the designs. 2. Print black & white digital images that are to be colored with alcohol ink. (Toner does not run or smear with alcohol ink. I have been extremely pleased with the performance. I can even feed cardstock through to the back of the printer so no jamming occurs!

I use this printer heavily all day, five days a week. It has great quality b&w as well as color. I also print a lot of envelopes and labels! It does it all and it is easy to maintain! I love it!

This multi-function machine works wonderful! It is VERY easy to set up and use. The cartridges seem to last forever! (Year to year and a half! I just had to replace the drums, which really weren't expensive, and I've had this printer for more years than I remember! I'm extremely happy with this product and highly recommend it to anyone who wants quality color copies! My only complaint with it is it won't print two-sided automatically. You have to re-feed the paper.

I bought this printer in 2013 and it worked well. Not good for photos but quick printing in black and color. Then it went off-line. Reload software, put in WPS key, restart computer-router-printer. Finally back on line. This happened occasionally over the last couple years but now it is off line every time I need it and it takes 45 min to an hour of fiddling to get it back on line. I searched the internet for explanation to the problem. No real solution, just lots of suggestions for getting it back on line. I feel there is a problem with this units wifi receiver. I checked the wifi in the room where it is located and it is a strong signal, the machine can pick up the router signal, it just won't connect. I would not recommend this machine due to its poor performance as a wifi only printer. I have replaced it with a similar brother printer that has wired ethernet connection. I chose Brother printers because I use one at my place of employment and it works great but again it is a wired ethernet connection. I would never buy a wifi only printer again.

I have never been more disappointed in a product! This unit worked for approximately one month - barely put in new toner when it started to malfunction. The toner comes at a significant price to change all four cartridges. The black and white copies were mediocre but I truly thought I was the problem. I spent hours researching, replaced all of the cartridges again and asked our IT Professional to assist in resolving the problem. He too researched with Brother, the Manual and collegues and all he could tell me was that according to what he learned it was a crummy piece of equipment. He could not fix it any more than I could. Even with new cartridges, the copies would be intermittent as to whether they would print anything on a page. The colors were mostly obsolete. During all of our testing, researching... we went through at least a ream of paper. I spent more than the current price when I bought this machine and without adding the cost of time, I invested at another several hundred dollars in an attempt to get it to perform, which might say that I am an idiot. I bought this machine because a friend spoke so highly of her Brother (combo fax/scan/copy but I will never purchase another Brother product again. I should also mention that we tried to contact customer support but managed to go on everlasting hold.

Good product, the setup couldn't be easier, the uxui is well done. Good amount of features, it a little slow to receive the print job but the printing itself is fast. Quality is fine, it is just a little noisy but not too the point that is a nuisance. I just wish it had double sided printing. At a $100 difference I didn't see any advantage to get the newer model.

I have the Brother laser printer MFC-L2740DW, which prints black only. I loved it so much, and was so tired of frequently replacing ink cartridges in other brands that I purchased this printer. I guess I did not check it out thoroughly enough, because I paid to have it delivered & installed and found out it will not print double-sided. It was such a great disappointment that I sent it back after thoroughly investigating additional printers made by Brother, and purchased MFC-9340CDW. I presumed all printers, especially laser printers, would print automatically on both sides of the paper. This Is probably my fault and not the fault of Brother in my presumption that all printers would automatically print double-sided.

The Brother All in One printer is an inexpensive, solid machine that does what it's supposed to do with ease. My only caveat is in regard to the duplex printing which is not intuitive and not automatic.

feed up with ink jet running out so fast & the high cost. this printer is so much better. a real bonus is that i use a heating element to transfer a printed pattern onto wood for carving or scroll sawing. very happy.

I bought this printer and was extremely disappointed. All printers have the option to print double sided but this one doesn't. Otherwise this printer is great for regular one sided color and black and white printing.

I just didn't realize how many documents I print are multiple pages. I should have ordered the printer with duplex capability, which would cut down on both the time to print and paper usage. The printer itself is just fine, works well, with a beautiful product.

The printer works great when connected to the computer with a USB cable. The printer must be within 5 feet or so of the router for the WiFi to work. This is often not possible. This is disappointing for an otherwise good printer.
