Worked well until it died during its fifth year of personal use. Very economical on ink use. Easy to print wirelessly, scan two side documents and quality of print is good. This copier was for personal use and I probably print 500 pages a year. The paper jam error message started to come on periodically then permanently when there was no paper jam. The only Brother service center in SE Michigan wanted $ 150 to come out to look at it. not sure what final repair cost would be so I just threw it out. Cheaper to by new but I can find this model any longer

I have been using this printer for about three years, and it has not failed yet. Ink lasts a long time and I run an outdoor non-profit. I found it easy to set up and run with the exception of the fax which is the reason for just 4 stars. Remote printing from laptops works very well once everything is set up. It is quiet and has satisfied my needs in a multi-function printer

Constantly cleaning the print heads & still the color printing comes out streaky. Also, the scan program does not open in another Brother program, PE-Design, & locks up the PE-Design & make it necessary for me to reboot the computer. I keep getting an error message that the program is busy in another program when nothing else is running.

I really like this copier/scanner (5) but really do not like the Brother Application. I give that a 0. Every time you use the machine a window pops up and asks if you want to allow this app to make changes on your machine. Every Single time! If you click yes, it immediately starts trying to update and half the time kicks the machine off line. I now click no every time and it works better but so much for updates. I really like the machine though. It scans and prints well. I can't figure out how to print dual sided documents and the instructions are either hidden or very badly written but luckily I don't have to do that often.

Very reliable, "basic" printer. Long-lasting, cost effective, ink supply is a definite plus. Not a fast printer and quality is acceptable. I had a very powerful HP printer previously that took 6 ink cartridges and had many other wonderful features?.especially a separate tray for photo paper so you could just send a photo to the printer and not have to redo the tray contents. It was blazing fast! It finally was no longer operative and I still "grieve" the loss of it. This printer does a good job for day to day and all my AirPrint photos from my phone, but much slower and less quality. I am OK with that for now. For most everyone I think it is probably the best choice for everyday needs. I bought an Eason and it was lacking some important features so did not use it. BTW. This Brother printer is reliable and I definitely would recommend it for most everyone if they are not picky about certain features as I am. I was spoiled to have had top of the line printers, both ink jet and laser, always personally available at my job and the HP Photosmart8100 at home. You will most likely be very satisfied and happy with this printer for your everyday and work needs.

This is a good quality printer for the money. Black and white copies are very good. Color are good but the ink jet nozzles require frequent cleaning to avoid lines in the color print copy. That's my biggest complaint. I like the large ink storage capacity. The replacement ink cartridge's are reasonably priced and Brother has a great green recycle program for the empty cartridges'. The printer holds a large amount of paper and you can print odd sizes in the back of the unit. The wireless connectivity is very good and you can easily print remotely from you iPhone or iPad. Overall I happy with this product.

The Brother MFC-J995DW is a work horse of a printer. It rarely ever needs nozzle cleaning or alignment and the ink lasts a very long time. This is the ideal home of small business printer that is dependable and economical. You will be glad you chose a Brother printer.

Blank streaks persist after numerous attempts to clean the printhead "clogged" nozzles. Otherwise loved the printer.

Have had a couple of issues with this printer including clogging of nozzles that repeated cleaning won't fix and some random repetitive printing while I'm away from the machine that I assume was caused by a software glitch on my PC. Have only ever used genuine Brother replacement ink cartridges.

My problem was that my printer was printing blank pages. I contacted Brother customer service, and they cleared up my issue over the phone. They could not have been more accommodating.

It does what I want,when I want it. Still using original ink after a year. Do have to clean cartridges if it sits to long. To long is 3 or 4 months. Easy to correct.

I love this printer and it's functionality. The scanning program could be a little more intuitive and offer more functionality especially the function of zooming and reducing the size of the document you want to print.

I am very happy with this printer. I abandoned HP as ink cartidges were about to bankrupt me. The Brother is not an ink tank but has large cartriges that are not too expensive. I have saved enough with this printer compared to HP cartridges I have basically paid for the printer. I have a lot of ink left in it and it still has plenty and that is with the starter ink. It is not the best for printing pictures but Brother tells you that up front. It is fine for normal color and things like charts and graphs. Color pictures are OK but not as precise as a picture printer.

My Brother MFC-J995DW is the best printer I have ever owned and I have gone thru quite a few over the years. It is so easy to print and copy, the main things I use it for. Printers in the past took some time just to figure out how to make a copy or print. My Brother is so simple to use, that even I do not have any issues! I highly recommend this printer and will buy only Brother from now on. Thanks!

I absolutely love my printer because it performs magnificently. I've especially had to put it to the test after a long hospital stay & recuperation. But even after not using it for over 6 months it still worked like a champ! The nozzles weren't clogged, it remembered my settings, the colors were still spot on. I am very pleased and would not buy any other brand, plus I have the large tank so my printer will probably stay with me for as long as needed. Aloha to you all for such a fine product!!

This printer prints a lot of pages before you need to replace the ink. It's a pretty consistent printer. Sometimes it needs maintenance and troubleshooting is easy to do on the touch screen and always seems to solve the problem. The only downside is the printing can be a bit slow. Overall, it's a good printer. I haven't figured out how to get it to print nicely on glossy paper but I haven't played around too much with that. However, for presentations or printing on regular paper it does a good job.

I have had other printers form other manufacturers and at some point something happens and it's a real pain to have to decipher what's wrong. Usually it's a connectivity issue but the instructions for fixing demands that you be a programmer. With this Brother printer, I have never had any issues. I can reliably depend on it to come through over and over again, regardless of how much it is used (and it's used a lot). Highly recommend over any other brand.

I purchased the Brother MFC-J995DW Printer after much research. One of the reasons I chose this printer was that it monitors the ink cartridge capacities and allows you to order before you run out. It saves you from having to wait for a depleted cartridge to be ordered and wait for the shipment. The general everyday printing is excellent. I like the fact it is also wireless allowing me to print from my phone, iPad and laptop easily. I've not experienced any jamming or other issues. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that the quality of photo printing is not all that great. But for everyday document or office printing, it has been flawless.

The ink lasts a long time and prints great. However, you can't print multiple pages on card stock and some photo paper. I have to print them one at a time. I have to take the thick papers to a print shop to print a lot of card stock. that sort of defeats the purpose of having a printer.
