Don't buy
The image quality of this printer is garbage. I would easily recommend even the cheapest Walmart printer over this one. For text, it can print alright, but not anywhere near good.

Is very slow
This was the first brother printer we bought and it has lasted a little over a year. It cost $90.00 just to have someone tell what's wrong with it. This will be last Brother printer we buy.bob

Very difficult to use
Color printing is distorted, the color is easy to fade when touched, it occasionally appears patchy, and it always gets blocked when printing cards in batches.

Great printer for home use
Great printer, interfaced easily with wi-fi. Quality color printing. Best of all the supplies are very reasonable from Amazon. I would give it five stars but the printing is slower then my 10 year old black only Brother laser printer.

An amazingly good printer.
An excellent printer. Color reproduction is second to none. Wish it was duplex, but I can get up out of my chair and flip the pages manually and print on the back side.

This is an awesome printer but it is slow. I have had Brother printers in the past and they were fast. I am a little disappointed.

Brand new unit that squeaks
I have contacted tech support on this unit twice and have not received any meaningful correspondence. This unit has a squeaking noise only while printing. I have done the simple remove everything and dust it off then reinstall and still no change This is a brand new unit and it should not be doing that. I like Brother products, I've always had great service with them. But not this time

Easy set up
This printer was easy to set up and has been very easy to use--much better than my previous HP printer. I do wish the print was brighter, though.

replacement
this printer is a replacement for one that gave up the ghost. I like it better because it is quick and quiet. I find the colour a bit off, but everything else I like and am very happy with.

Bad feeling with brother printer
Actually I think this printer is very bad. It's totally different compared to the previous one I used. First it responds to my Mac very slow when it's receiving datas. Secondly, when I scan documents, the scanned documents lack fidelity. In my feeling, brother products represent good quality, but this time it is out my surprise and frustration, I'm thinking to buy another brand printer. Will not buy brother product any more in my lifetime.

Only accept original toner
Good machine but does not accept generic toner. Brother toner a way to expensive. Once they are done, I will switch to another brand. I don't mind paying extra for brand name toner, but this is excessive.

Multipurpose Tray Feed didn't work
The printer arrived in one day, from across the country, and the print resolution was excellent. Beautiful output, even though it couldn't print double-sided. Unfortunately, I had to return this printer because the bypass tray wouldn't reliably catch the 22 lb. paper, and it took several tries for it to work even once. I also found out that the product description on the vendor's website erroneously said that it could handle light card and other mediums. The vendor was excellent, though, and I was able to send it back without any problem.

Printer speed
A good printer but a little too slow for me. Also it's difficult to retrieve documents when printed from the tray. But overall it's a good printer.

Does not print on both sides
This printer is an excellent machine, but does not offer duplex printing (print on both sides). Had I noticed that when I purchased it, I would have chosen another printer.

The machine has trouble talking to our computer via WiFi, all the other ones do, so we have to buy a cord to hardwire it to the computer. It doesn't automatically print double sided which is a pain, otherwise a great device!

Poor wireless connectivity
The printer works well when it connects to the laptop, but doesn't stay connected. It will only connect wirelessly to one out of my four devices (PC laptop). It doesn't connect to my iPad, iPhone or MacBook Pro. I've installed and re-installed the app several times and there's no way it can see the printer. So frustrating!

Cannot Change Printer Hardware Name
Cannot Change Printer Name on the hardware that can cause issues when you identical printer around the entire office. It would have been nice if this feature is available, it will surely less of a headache
