You will not be able to connect to a tablet, ever. It is a horrible piece of junk. The help file is nowhere to be found on the website. I just loathe and hate this printer, I have never seen such junk in my life put out there for wifi printing and no it is not bluetooth.

Print quality is great... HOWEVER ... The ink ... DUMB.... RUNS OUT SUPER QUICKLY - And I do not do a LOT of printing ... The COLORED ink ran low ... I print BLACK for the most part ... I have things to print and CANNOT complete my work UNTIL I order and wait to be delivered COLORED cartridges ... Even for return labels that are BLACK AND WHITE ... Can't return what I need to because THIS printer WILL NOT PRINT WITHOUT ALL THE INK FULL!! This printer was fine for about a year, aside from a couple of quirks. First, it beeps every 30 seconds or so when the firmware needs updating. I didn't realize this, and spent the better part of a day trying to figure out where the incessant beeping was coming from in my house. I don't know who thought this was a good idea, but FYI a printer being slightly out of date is not a beep-worthy emergency. Second, when I tried to actually update the firmware, it didn't work. Just an infinite loop of telling me to update it, me saying ok, then telling me to update it, me saying ok? until I finally said no and everything was fine. This went on for about ten months, until one day it started to actually install the firmware, and got stuck. The display froze midway through and nothing would reset it. The folks at Brother were willing to cover the repair cost, but I live in the middle of a city without a car. My choices were: public transit both ways to bring the printer to the shop, paying for an uber, or getting someone to drive me during business hours. I chose to not get it fixed and buy a label printer that doesn't require ink (from another manufacturer). This solves 80% of my printing needs without any hassle.

I bought a different brand first which was a big mistake. After about a month of difficulties w th printer and service , I went back to Brither and swear I'm a life long user from now on. The combination of having an easy to use dependable printer and great service , why would anyone ever want any other brand?

The machine barely functions. I have to call for help each time I try to use it. I asked for a refund or replacement machine but was told that's not an option. I will never purchase another product from Brother.

I bought a Brother printer MFC-J1010DW in May of 2024. Today, I could not get the Brother name brand magenta and cyan ink cartridges to print. I tried to chat about it, they wanted to charge me $5 to do so. Therefore, I called. They wanted to charge to help me. I will NEVER buy a Brother product again, and I would recommend that NO ONE buy their product.

This is my fourth Brother printer. They all work fantastically well. I have the HL-2240, HL-3280CDW, MFC-J460DW, and this MFCJ1010DW.

We bought this not quite a year ago. It had a hard time to connecting to some devices and wouldn't connect at all to my husband's computer. It was saying it was low on ink . We replaced the ink that was low and now it won't print at all. I tried customer service and did what they told me, it didn't help. After what I did with them it them crashed and couldn't detect any of the new cartridges. I'm done spending my money and my time on it. Don't buy!

Been using Brother for my laser printers for years. I decided to replace my Epson that finally gave up so that I could print photos. VERY disappointed with the output from this printer. Very washed out and yellowish prints. On the lookout for another printer to replace this one.

This is the worst piece of computer equipment I have ever purchased. It has never worked properly, never stays online, never works without an hour of loading software. I have barely used it and it wants new ink. I though my HP was a pain in side but this thing is even worse.

This is a great printer, excellent buy for the money. But you must register it on line, and then Brothers sends you a pop up ad for their ink supply service with a "don't send me this ad again" reply box. No matter how many times you click do not send you will continue to get this pop up ad. There is NO WAY to contact Brothers to stop this "like a dripping water spigot" ad. Suggest you do not register the product.

It prints standard BW pages great, the scanner to print is a hot mess. The image shows up all contorted, etc and is unusable. Duplex works, ink usage is good. However, nothing states whether the ink is DYE or PIGMENT BASED!! This is necessary to pick products to print on! Printing is seriously slow?and a paper jam is 9/10 when loading sticker paper. This applies to ANY sticker paper! I've had it for over a year.

I use this printer mainly to scan and so I print very little. But now I find that after less than ten color printouts, the yellow cartridge is empty and I can't use the printer as a printer for even grayscale or b&w prints. There's a note telling me grayscale would work, but it doesn't. This is ridiculous. I'm told that the machine routinely cleans the printer jets and that uses quite a bit of ink. In other words if I never use the printer for printing, the machine itself will use up the ink and you have to keep installing new cartridges. This is ridiculous. I bought it at Staples, and the salesperson never warned me that the engineering design produces such a ridiculous product. He did suggest that I do a print once every couple weeks, and I did that, printing only a very small color image with all the colors. This printer should come with a warning and I'm going to complain to the Consumer's Protection Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce. If I could, I'd vote a Zero for not warning the customer of such a brain dead design.

Honestly, I do not have a problem with the machine itself. But when I tried hooking it up it was so difficult I called Brother for help they refired me to their tick support, I spoke to a crook tried to make me think that this machine wouldn't work on my laptop because of my (Damage hard drive} and I have to pay $200 to fix it. My answer. no I will return it. and for the BAD COUSTOMER SERVES I WIL NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM BROTHER EVER
