Not Functional

Unit came Non Functional. however do not wish to deal with an RMA process again as last time it took way too long. Other purchases that replaced my original RMA case worked without issue.

Storage fast transfer

The only thing I worry about is that the specs say 4TB But it only gave me 3.63 TB

Worked perfectly with time machine

Following formatting by Apple's Time Machine software, the drive worked perfectly. Backups are very fast. My only complaint is fan noise which is not loud, but my previous Buffalo external drive did not have a fan, so any fan noise is noticeable. Buffalo does not make a 6 TB drive without a fan. I have used Buffalo drives for years and never had an issue. I would recommend them without hesitation.

DOES NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS 10 (at least not yet Read this!

This drive's software does not work with windows 10, the turbo pc ex that comes with it will not even run on Windows 10, and Buffalo support flat out told me they had no estimate of when, or if, they will have Windows 10 compatible software, and advised me to return the unit within the return period. The unit did connect, and worked fine as a drive, but not for the reason I got it, which was to do quick, automatic backups. That takes working software, and it doesn't have it. There are four or five free software utility programs that come with it, also none of which work, or fully work, with Windows 10. Not saying it's a scam or a bad product. Actually it ran great when I did manual backups - I'm just saying this model is not yet designed or programmed nor supplied with software that works with Windows 10.
