An unparalleled limiter
Unlike a traditional limiter or a multi-band device, the Adaptive Limiter 2 employs a unique new algorithm developed by CEDAR. With peak and oversampling modes, it calculates a continuingly varying EQ profile that constrains the amplitude of the output while retaining the integrity of the input. The result is a signal that sounds louder while remaining much more natural than audio processed using conventional limiters and maximisers.
The way in which the attenuation profile can develop is constrained in two ways - both temporally and spectrally - and the degree to which it can change is now under even greater user control than before. This allows you to optimise the results for every piece of audio processed, whether applying transparent limiting or 'slamming' the audio for dramatic loudness maximising.
Creating coherent compilations
When used with the Batch Processor the Adaptive Limiter 2 will quickly and easily control the dynamics of disparate tracks and allow you to match them into a coherent whole. This is particularly useful when creating compilations from multiple sources.
When you need to control the loudness of your audio, nothing does so with greater integrity nor greater simplicity than CEDAR's Adaptive Limiter 2.
