I use this paper for most of my photographic fine art prints. It is almost the same as the paper I previously used which was Ilford Fiber Gold. Shipping from Adorama is terrible, and I would give it a ZERO rating. I requested, and the salesman even put it on the order form that the paper be double boxed because the Canson box is not suitable for shipping. They did not double box it so I had to return the damaged paper. Fortunately, the return department was very nice and took it back. The Adorama shipping department though is incompetent.

Great paper. Captures great tonal range with a beautiful surface that is not too glossy. Cutting this paper can be a little tricky, as it flakes under a knife. Using a rotatrim solves this issues.

I've used this paper for a number of years for my black and white photography. This paper has a beautiful sheen that enhances the subtle tones in my photographs.

This paper is perfect for prints of landscapes, among others. Canson offers a good method for producing a printer profile and it has worked perfectly.

I recommend Canson Papers. Great education at their website. Go there > get educated > come back to Adorama and purchase their paper. :)

I've researched and used many papers from Epson and other vendors. This satin paper from Canson is now my "go to" paper for fine prints. The satin texture is a perfect balance between a glossy and a matte finish and the colors (and depth of blacks) are outstanding.

Home based photographer using canson baryta photographique with a canon pixma pro-100. Excellent detail and color tones. Just a fantastic paper for portraits! The canon pro-100 is a dye based ink printer with vivid colors popping off the page of the canson paper!

I have been testing paper samples on a Canon Pixma Pro-10 printer. So far, out of the various samples I have tried, the Canson Baryta Photographique is my favorite. I bought it for black and white, but it looks great with color as well!

Excellent paper, looks great. Prone to "pizza wheel" marks on smaller Epson printers, best printed on the bigger models.

wider DR and deeper black than anything i have seen you still need camera & software skills. worth buying the latest generation of printer to see even more. I bought an Epson P800 that gives me even more dramatic prints than my "old" 7880.

I wanted to try this paper after coming across a few favourable reviews. I produce images from both medium and dslr formats on a Pixma Pro 1 and I am very pleased with the results both in tonal range and paper finish. Although Canson does provide an ICC profile tweaking (which is pointed out by Canson) was necessary to achieve a final and delightful final copy. I have since purchased additional boxes and look forward tp the results. Personal portfolio and gallery sales/display.

Product shipped quickly and was well packaged. I downloaded the ICC profile from Canson for my printer and have made some test prints, both black and white and color. To my eye it is superior to Epson Luster but at the price I guess it should be better. Due to the price this isn't paper I will print to on a routine basis, but will be more than happy to use it when appropriate.

Smooth semi-luster paper with heavy rag stock, the Baryta is bright but mellow. It offers bright whites and deep blacks with very rich colors. It is not as warm as Epson Gold Fiber or as textured as Museo Silver Rag (two other favorites), and has become my go-to choice for fine art prints to exhibit or sell.

Love this paper! I bought the sample pack of Canson paper and tried each sheet, sometimes with the same picture to get a feel for the paper. I like the weight (gsm310) of the paper. This was one of my favorites

I use this with my Canon Pro 100 color printer and the paper with ICC profiles combination is great. Gives a very professional appearance at home.

I print all of my color work on this Canson Baryta, or Canson Platine which is similar. Baryta is perhaps slightly sharper with a more delicate presentation because of the baryta coating, Platine is a little more lush. None of the Canson papers has any optical brightners. The whites are truly neutral looking under all light sources, and D-max is high. Baryta in sheets is nice and flat, but in rolls it has a stiff curl from the roll. Platine is a little wavy in sheets but nothing serious. Platine rolls curl like Baryta.

I have also used several Baryta papers and have found this paper hangs with the best of them. If you want a pure white this certainly stands with Hahnemuhle's Fine Art and costs less. With Adorama's free shipping you can't do better. If you want a warmer tone paper try Museo's Silver Rag or Red River's San Gabriel.

I sampled many brands and types of paper before selecting Canson Baryta Photographique for my portfolio. The weight and feel of the paper is very nice. I like everything about it except the gloss differential in highlight areas.

Prefer this paper in sheets as it lays flat and print exceptionally well. Rolls are harder as the base is thick and it doesn't lay as flat after printing. Nevertheless this is an exceptionally beautiful paper. It is reasonably tough and durable. I print a great deal on this paper and paper consistency form package to package is also exceptional and I have never received anything less than perfect paper. The shipping and packaging is very good too.

I like to print selected landscapes for framing and this is my "go to" paper. It has a great weight and surface to bring my photos to life. Give it a try!

I've used "Brand X" the other best paper on the market for years and thought I had the best available, however, they hit a snag in their supply chain and my product was not available and I had an upcoming show, after reading the reviews of several upscale products I decided to try the Canson paper, "WOW", I was thoroughly impressed with this paper and have changed over totally. I believe this is the best paper on the market for photos. Larry Hitchens www.hitchensphotography.com

Best Paper on the market

Great range and bright colors, the best I have ever used. I have tried to find the right paper for black and white and here it is--great dynamic range and neutral black color.
Outstanding Baryta
By PETER W.
I've tested most of the other Barytas on an Epson 4000 and this paper was by far better when printed on. Their supplied printer profiles are spot on and the paper has an excellent weight. The only con, as with most Barytas, is the dry time and prone to scratching so you must handle gingerly. Superb for contrasty BW and excellent for color as well.
Baryta Photographique is a true Baryta paper developed for inkjet technology. Itconsists of an alphacellulose, acid-free pure white paper with the same barium sulphate coating as for traditional silver halide and a premium inkjet color receiver layer.
Baryta Photographique offers the look and aesthetic of the original darkroom baryta print and complies with the ISO 9706 standard for maximum longevity. This museum grade photo paper shows excellent black density and great image sharpness, making it ideal for black and white photography.
