24.0 Megapixel (APS-C) CMOS Sensor
The newly designed 1.4-type CMOS sensor has 22.3 megapixels for still images (18.7 megapixels for video), giving you enhanced image quality which provides a shallower depth of field, better light performance, improved Dynamic Range and greater ISO performance.

The PowerShot V1 is equipped with an ultra-wide-angle zoom lens that is equivalent to a 17-52mm lens for Full Frame cameras (16-50mm when taking still photos) with an aperture range of F2.8-11 at the wide-angle setting, making it ideal for vlogging without the worry about changing lenses.
HG-200TBR Grip
Providing a stable base for your camera, as well as support to attach a compatible external microphone, the Tripod Grip HG-200TBR helps you frame your subject and minimize shake if handheld or provide stable results when stationery for great selfies, group shots, and video, even when set to a vertical position.
DM-E100 Microphone
Capture crisp audio with the DM-E100 Stereo Microphone. With a lightweight design for portability, includes a wind screen and a hot-shoe mount for secure attachment so you’ll achieve high-quality audio while capturing your content.
Keeping it Cool
The PowerShot V1 features a cooling fan to keep internal components from getting too hot, allowing for unlimited continuous shooting at 4K60P. The fan pulls heat from the sensor and vents it out the side to prevent overheating, which extends recording times and ensures consistency during long shoots.
All About the Video
This camera is focused on the video content creator, and it shows with oversampled and uncropped options for both 1080 and 4K30 for enhanced sharpness and detail. It also offers cropped 4K60, providing clarity and smoothness of 4K resolution at 60fps, with an approximate crop factor of 1.4x.
For more advanced users, the PowerShot V1 also has Canon Log 3, allowing you to record movies with a wide dynamic range and 10-bit color depth, starting at a base speed of ISO 800.
Control Time with Slow and Fast Mode
Selecting Slow and Fast mode allows creative control of both the video frame rate and playback speed separately and in-camera, for slow-motion recordings, or fast-motion time-lapse sequences.
Shooting Modes
This camera comes with some unique features that enhance your creations. There is a close-up movie mode for displaying small objects. You also have Movie IS to reduce camera shake for clear videos, and Smooth Skin Movie. You can also use the standard choices of full-auto, full manual operation, and Shutter- or Aperture-priority exposure.
Go Live to Connect to Your Audience
This camera offers 5 and 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and built-in Wireless Livestreaming capability via both the Canon Camera Connect app, and the Live Switcher Mobile app.
Additionally, its USB C terminal offers USB UVC/UAC streaming for use of the camera as a webcam, and separately an HDMI streaming mode offers a clean HDMI connection to HDMI capture cards and switchers, providing multiple options to connect with your audience.
