I've had this camera for almost a year now (April will make a full year) and I can't express how much i adore this camera. This camera has really forced me to learn lighting, shadows, landscapes, shutter speeds, etc. I have the g7x mark ii and I feel like I was spoiled by only having to point and shoot. Even though that's the entire point of the V1; I feel like it has made me a better photographer/vlogger. Getting the extra adaptor and flash from B&H because it's always out of stock felt slightly off-putting but didn't discourage me from learning about my camera. Thanks Canon!

I have been a fan of Canons advanced point and shoots for years and this is a strange bit of good and bad but I'm also glad it exists and even that I own it. The video works wonderfully in almost all regards and functions. The fam works wonders though still can't negate the battery life. The sensor size increase means it isn't pocketable anymore but the bitter issue is that canon small sensors just aren't as good as others and despite the size increase it isn't much better than the 1" Sony sensors of old. The good is that because it's a Canon sensor the autofocus actually works well in video. The photography side is not as great. The biggest issue is the lens that while relatively fast and sharp just doesn't have the reach that I wanted. I realize that it is for video and vloggers but 24mm is fine. I say that as someone that has used the G7xiii for that purpose and it works great. If you want to isolate a subject you really just can't with this. There is no zoom or portrait length and while I know some will argue 50 is a portrait length just remember you now have a smaller sensor so compensation isn't what you could do with the old 1". So why get this over the G7xiii. Well 4k video if you need it for longer recording sessions, especially if you can plug it in. A small footprint home studio video camera with goo tracking autofocus. I might also suggest this for some real estate agents on a budget that includes the lens. Still not a bad c camera that can work as an A camera but not nearly as versatile and feels lacking for a lot of jobs.

Bought this 2 months ago for my daughter and she absolutely loved it. She used it a lot and used it too when we went to italy. The only thing is she added a flash which is not a big deal. Picture perfect quality for us with or without a flash. Yes, I would recommend this product.

I honestly would not recommend buying this camera. I'm not able to use any flash on this camera because it doesn't come with it and the external flash that it requires is only sold by Cannon which they refuse to restock and it's been months since I've bought the camera. I'm very disappointed in the camera and in Cannon's customer service as I've called and they have been no help trying to get me this external flash that not only has gone up in price but will not restock. I spent $1000 on this camera all to not really be able to use it how it should be.

I love this camera!!! Takes awhile to figure out the settings if you choose to get a flash and hotshoe since the camera doesn't sync with the flash. Also the software updates are random and wiped my memory card the first time I had one, disappointing but most likely user error.

Beautiful camera.. $1000 for no flash is the only negative. You have to buy additional hot shoe and flash just to get those type of photos

The flash that comes with the bundle does not work with the camera without an adapter.

Canon PowerShot V1 Video Creator Kit - a purpose-built bundle that puts professional production power directly into your hands. This setup is anchored by the remarkably compact PowerShot V1, which utilizes a large 1.0-inch sensor and a wide 19mm lens to deliver cinematic 4K clarity that far outclasses standard smartphone footage.

To bridge the gap between amateur clips and polished content, the kit integrates the DM-E100 Stereo Microphone for broadcast-quality audio, while the HG-200TBR Tripod Grip provides a rock-steady foundation for both handheld vlogging and stationary tabletop setups. With the added convenience of the BR-E2 Bluetooth Remote for wireless recording control, this kit offers a seamless, all-in-one workflow that allows you to focus entirely on your story rather than your equipment.
The newly designed 1.4-type CMOS sensor has 22.3 megapixels for still images (18.7 megapixels for video), giving you enhanced image quality which provides a shallower depth of field, better light performance, improved Dynamic Range and greater ISO performance.

The PowerShot V1 is equipped with an ultra-wide-angle zoom lens that is equivalent to a 17-52mm lens for Full Frame cameras (16-50mm when taking still photos) with an aperture range of F2.8-11 at the wide-angle setting, making it ideal for vlogging without the worry about changing lenses.
Providing a stable base for your camera, as well as support to attach a compatible external microphone, the Tripod Grip HG-200TBR helps you frame your subject and minimize shake if handheld or provide stable results when stationery for great selfies, group shots, and video, even when set to a vertical position.

Capture crisp audio with the DM-E100 Stereo Microphone. With a lightweight design for portability, includes a wind screen and a hot-shoe mount for secure attachment so you’ll achieve high-quality audio while capturing your content.

The PowerShot V1 features a cooling fan to keep internal components from getting too hot, allowing for unlimited continuous shooting at 4K60P. The fan pulls heat from the sensor and vents it out the side to prevent overheating, which extends recording times and ensures consistency during long shoots.

This camera is focused on the video content creator, and it shows with oversampled and uncropped options for both 1080 and 4K30 for enhanced sharpness and detail. It also offers cropped 4K60, providing clarity and smoothness of 4K resolution at 60fps, with an approximate crop factor of 1.4x.

For more advanced users, the PowerShot V1 also has Canon Log 3, allowing you to record movies with a wide dynamic range and 10-bit color depth, starting at a base speed of ISO 800.
Selecting Slow and Fast mode allows creative control of both the video frame rate and playback speed separately and in-camera, for slow-motion recordings, or fast-motion time-lapse sequences.
This camera comes with some unique features that enhance your creations. There is a close-up movie mode for displaying small objects. You also have Movie IS to reduce camera shake for clear videos, and Smooth Skin Movie. You can also use the standard choices of full-auto, full manual operation, and Shutter- or Aperture-priority exposure.

This camera offers 5 and 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and built-in Wireless Livestreaming capability via both the Canon Camera Connect app, and the Live Switcher Mobile app.
Additionally, its USB C terminal offers USB UVC/UAC streaming for use of the camera as a webcam, and separately an HDMI streaming mode offers a clean HDMI connection to HDMI capture cards and switchers, providing multiple options to connect with your audience.

Featuring a 3.0-inch, 1.62 million dot Clear View LCD II Vari-angle Touchscreen LCD, the EOS R50 V makes it easy to compose and shoot from virtually any angle. With the EOS V Touch and Drag AF functionality, you can intuitively and swiftly move the autofocus point on the touch-panel LCD.
