I have been using this model for about six months shooting product photos in a light box. It is easy to work with after getting used to it. I upgraded from a Panasonic Lumix because I wanted my image to match as closely as possible to what I see in the viewfinder; this camera does the job and is a godsend for eliminating so much post-production work for me. This model has an extraordinary number of features (sort of overwhelming) and I am just starting to use it to make my videos. One more thing: downloading via WiFi is a cinch even though I tried to make it difficult at first (my Panasonic WiFi connection never worked). Happy customer!

I still use my "big" Canon cameras - my faithful older models - for situations where I may need a specific feature. But I purchased the complete two lens R100 kit for easier, faster packing and quick use during my travels. I have to say, this little go-to wonder excels at that. Best of all, it was priced at a really great value! I leave the camera out all the time: on a desktop or counter, for quick-grab shooting around the house. When I'm not using the kit lenses, I often adapt my Canon EF, EF-S, optics and my various film era lenses as well for fun and slower-paced "contemplative" photography. I am thankful Canon understands that the "right" camera can mean many things to many people. My R100 has all the built-in features I need and more for my purposes. After all, it's not the size of the camera in the shoot; it's the size of the shoot in the camera.

I bought this camera a month ago and it was not delivered, and still no refund . I had to call them myself for a claim to be filled ,they never sent me emails or anything to update me in that regards ,I'm very disappointed

I was not prepared for the size of the camera. I have Rebel T6i that I was using as pretext with regard to size. The screen does not swing out away from the camera. So I had to buy an external monitor and AC adapter for the monitor

I'd been taking a friend out and letting her shoot my Rebel T6 and my EOS R7, and I decided that it was time she had her own camera. A lot of reviews criticize the lack of features vs. the R50 and R10, but the simplicity makes it a perfect beginner camera. Having less to learn about the camera leaves her more time and energy to develop her photography skills. I became a photographer with my Rebel, and this is truly the mirrorless Rebel. She loves it.

I'm just getting into photography. After doing some research I decided on the R100. The ordering process was easy and quick. The camera is just what I expected. It's easy to learn the settings and what they do with this camera so I'm not only learning about the camera itself but also about photography in general. It's perfect for me !

Buying a refurbished product through Canon is the way to go! You get a product that works like new and at substantial savings. The EOS R100 is perfect for me. I did not want all the fancy bells and whistles that come with higher-end models but a simple-to-use camera that takes great photos. That is what I got with the EOS R100! This camera will allow me to learn and grow as I venture further into photography. I am more than happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this camera and buying it as a refurbished product through Canon!

First a word about your customer service and sales people. Awesome. Jeff Phillips has been a tremendous help. The camera is great. Lightweight and compact, easy to get set up and a good way to introduce myself to photography. My last camera was a Nikon 6006. About 25 years old now. Im not doing business anywhere worse.

Great camera for the price. Sure, this camera isn't as advanced as other R models, but the price puts it at a point that it is attainable for people getting into photography and a good camera to learn on and build up Canon lenses, etc. In this case got it for my 13 year old son who is into birding and this is a definite step up from his previous camera. Now he is saving up for a zoom lens.

Got this perfect little camera for my college aged daughter. She is so in love with it! Her fave part is how easy it has been to use, the screens are super clear with great info built into the settings. I have used cameras of all sorts throughout my life and this one is a gem. Thank you!

Received a defective unit. Camera crashes when in video mode. Only remediation was to go through a month+ long exchange process. Insufficient quality control and remediation.

Fun beginner camera. I've already got a lot of great sunset shots of a lake near my house and a waterfall at different speeds. With the lense it came with, closeups of people and nature have been the most impressive.

I just wish it had some way to protect the mode switch so that I can't accidentally turn it. I once had an EOS M5 and I really loved that camera. This camera produces images that are virtually identical to the M5 so it's kind of like having my M5 back.

I think it is a great stuff for its price (it was a deal of less then $500 for two lenses kit). If you read reviews you'll find a lot of criticism as it misses some features of more expensive (or even older) models, especially touch screen. But for me it isn't a problem, I feel comfortable with physical buttons. Fixed screen (instead of tilt or turnable) is also not a problem - even if you really need it to shoot in low/high angle and so on, you can just use a phone app. Kit lenses are not great (pretty dark) - but the same - just look at the price. Better lenses are pricier than the whole kit. So you just need to consider if you really need/want more expensive equipment. In general, for me it's good enough. Just a simple, a bit old-stylish camera which works and provides good photos

Basically seems like a new camera with maybe one tiny finger smudge on the screen. Frankly, so far, this seems like an outstanding camera, despite already having a similar, older camera which has a sensor that's basically the same size. AF on the R100 is more accurate, layout of controls is more ergonomic than the X-A#, easier on the R100 to avoid shutting power on or off by accident, don't have to worry about touching the wrong part of the screen putting the camera into some bizarre unusable mode (I hate touch screen generally, wish phones had keyboards) and easier to avoid hitting the movie record button by accident. On the X-A#, I often just gave up and shot in Auto or programmed Auto because the UI was less intuitive; on the R100, it's way more natural to shoot in Aperture Priority by default, which makes me think about what I'm doing as I used to with my Canonet or Rebel 35mm cameras. And I do think the image processing on the R100 does a bit better with the information on the sensor-- seems less grainy and dithered when I pixel-peep low-light shots, though that's just a vague impression, I haven't set up a careful test. Feels more like shooting a film camera than the X-A5, though I'm sure the X-A5 will still get some use. Have not tested video yet.

Purchased 2 months ago and was i suprised. This little beauty takes the most beautiful pictures i have ever seen. Colorful, sharp and so easy to use, intuitive. I finally got a good one and am i happy. Thank you Canon great job on this one. Oh and by the way all this with the 18-45 kit lens.
This kit includes an EOS R100 camera, the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lens, the R75-300mm F4-5.6 lens and a convenient camera bag to accompany you on your travels. The R100 is a powerful and compact mirrorless camera featuring a 24.1MP APS-C sensor, DIGIC 8 image processor, and Dual Pixel CMOS AF with face and eye detection. With two lenses providing you with versatility, you can capture close-range imagery with the standard zoom lens like family photos, pet portraits, and daily snapshots on your vacation, as well as distant subjects like sporting events, airshows, and wildlife, with beautiful background blur using the telephoto zoom lens.
- EOS R100 Mirrorless Camera -
Turn Moments into Memories
Experience the fun of RF mount content creation with the smallest and lightest EOS R series camera, the Canon EOS R100. Excellent still-image capabilities start with its 24.1 Megapixel APS-C size CMOS Image sensor and DIGIC 8 processor, along with Dual Pixel CMOS AF with the ability to detect human faces and focus on their eyes. The EOS R100 also can record Full HD video at up to 60 frames per second, and detailed, high-res 4K from the central area of the sensor at 24 frames per second.
Features
24.1 Megapixel (APS-C) CMOS Sensor
The EOS R100 is equipped with a 24.1-million-pixel CMOS (APS-C) image sensor and DIGIC 8 Image Processor. With a significantly larger sensor size than many smartphones, this camera can capture images with natural bokeh for beautiful background blur, great color, and low noise. Images look stunning even when enlarged, with fine details reproduced with clarity.
Capture Bright Images Indoors without Flash
Taking advantage of its sensor size, the EOS R100 can take high-sensitivity and low-noise images that capture the atmosphere, even in low-light conditions. That way you can take images at fast shutter speeds to minimize capture shake and subject blur.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF and Eye Detection AF
Dual Pixel CMOS AF provides fast, accurate autofocus that helps you get the photo you want right as the moment happens. The EOS R100 features an expansive focus area that covers up to approximately 88% horizontal and 100% vertical of the picture area, breaking the image up to 143 AF area zones during auto selection. With the EOS R100, you can easily capture your subject quickly with the Eye Detection AF - allowing you to shoot even when the subject is far away. Eye Detection AF can also be used when the subject's full body is in frame, to lock on the eyes from a further distance.
Continuous Shooting
Capture those can't-miss moments with up to 6.5 shots per second continuous shooting when set to One-Shot AF. This allows you to capture those momentary changes in facial expressions that are easy-to-miss.
Creative Assist and Creative Filters
Take photos in your style with similar intuitive usability of a smartphone app with the EOS R100. Creative Assist allows you to take on the challenge of image creation while in Auto Mode by changing settings such as "background blur," "brightness," and "saturation" easily and in real time on the Live View screen.
Creative Filters on the EOS R100 allows you to select various effects from your favorite filters just like a smartphone app during shooting or playback, so you can easily capture impressive photos to share!
Silent Mode for Quiet Operation
Capture life's moments without worrying about distracting them with Silent Mode on the EOS R100. Whether you are at your child's recital, or your newborn baby is sleeping, the camera's Silent Mode ensures you don't startle your subject by enabling capture with virtually no shutter sound and preventing flash.
High-Definition Video
With the help of the 24.1 Megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor, the EOS R100 can record high-quality 4K movies at up to 24 frames per second, or Full HD movies at up to 60 frames per second. By pairing the camera with a variety of RF lenses, you can express yourself by capturing videos with blurred backgrounds, in dark settings, or using various techniques that would be challenging with smartphones.
Smooth Slow-Motion Videos
HD movies can also be recorded at a high-frame rate of approx. 120 frames per second - ideal for smooth, slow-motion playback of videos. Designed to capture fun, beautifully detailed videos, the EOS R100 helps ensure you don't miss any of the unique expressions of your friends' or family's faces.
Compact, Lightweight Body
The EOS R100 camera is the smallest and lightest camera in the EOS R series. Although it is compact and lightweight, the camera features a grip that provides a professional feel and steady hold while shooting. Whether for travel, everyday snapshots, or long-lasting still image or video shoots, you can easily enjoy taking it anywhere.
Precise Electronic Viewfinder
The EOS R100 is equipped with a high-precision 0.39-inch OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) EVF with approx. 2.36 million dots which displays a bright image and extensive shooting information. The EVF has been designed to provide a bright, sharp, and colorful approximate 100% view of the subject at hand.
Built-in Bluetooth Capability
Bluetooth pairing helps you connect the camera to compatible smart devices using the free Canon Camera Connect app. This low-energy wireless connection helps preserve battery life while providing remote control of the camera. It also sends continuously updated GPS location data from your phone, letting you geotag what you've captured so you know precisely where you captured the photo.
Built-in Wi-Fi Capability
Enable wireless functions, such as remote live view, file viewing and transfer, by connecting to Wi-Fi quickly and seamlessly. Using the Canon Camera Connect app, you can also transfer files to your compatible mobile device to browse and share on social media.
- RF-S 18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens -
As part of our new RF-S lens line, the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM gives you the flexibility you desire without taking up your whole camera bag. This lens was designed with smaller APS-C sensors in mind, and when attached to a full frame EOS R camera, automatically enables the 1.6x crop mode. It offers 100% x 100% Dual Pixel CMOS AF coverage for APS-C sensors, and 80% x 80% Dual Pixel CMOS AF coverage for Full Frame sensors (in crop mode).
The small size of the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM and clever lens retraction mechanism lets it fit just about anywhere, making it a great lens to bring with you on a walk or wherever the day takes you. The lead screw-type stepping motor (STM) helps ensure smooth autofocus and quiet operation, letting you capture videos with great audio and minimal background noise so you won't distract your subject in a quiet photo environment. Optical Image Stabilization provides up to 4 stops of correction, and up to 6 stops with Coordinated IS.
This advanced image stabilization can result in sharper photos with minimal blur, even in low light situations. When you add all of this together, you get a wonderful, lightweight, and versatile lens that is designed to fit into your life.
Compact-size, Standard Zoom Lens for everyday use.
High performance in a small, lightweight package, the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM puts a versatile zoom range (35mm equivalent - 29-72mm coverage) into a compact package that's easy to carry. Its optical system and clever lens retraction mechanism are designed to help ensure high image quality, while keeping the lens compact and easily portable so it stays out of the way and is ready when you are. Bring the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM and your camera with you in your daypack or camera bag so you can capture life's constant action on a walk, vacation or in your own backyard.
Lead Screw-type STM
When it comes to recording video, you want to be sure you capture all the subtle sounds of what you're recording. Thanks to its lead screw-type stepping motor (STM), the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM focuses smoothly and quietly, letting you concentrate on the dialogue, music or other important sounds you want to capture.
Image Stabilization at up to 4 Stops of Shake Correction
For consistently sharp results, the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM features an improved Image Stabilizer system that provides enhanced shake reduction for up to 4 stops of shake correction. When paired with an EOS R camera that has In Body Image Stabilization (IBIS), the Coordinated IS allows for up to 6 stops of correction. This means more reliable handheld performance and clearer detail in low-light situations, without having to increase the ISO or decrease the shutter speed. Because of its enhanced stabilization, the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM can also help minimize the need for a tripod.
- RF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 Lens -
The Canon RF75-300mm F4.5-6 brings approachability to zoom shooting. An impressive zoom range of 75-300mm (approx. 120-480mm with an APS-C camera) allows you to bring your subject close when you physically can't get closer to them, like when watching sports or photographing wildlife. The lens itself is portable and lightweight for a zoom lens of this range making it easy to bring with you on your outings. For a professional look to your images, nothing matches the compression and bokeh you get from a long zoom lens.
- 200ES Shoulder Bag -
The Canon 200ES DSLR and Video Camera Case is a serious bag for the traveling photographer. Keep your equipment organized and secure with the padded, adjustable divider. A light gray interior is useful for locating gear under low light and the bag is made of water-repellent nylon for strength, protection, and durability.
