This compact professional 4K UHD camcorder is designed to capture stunning 4K UHD and Full HD images, thanks to a 4K 1/2.3" type CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV6 image processor.
The XA65's oversampled HD feature ensures the delivery of Full HD images from the 4K sensor, providing you with superior image quality. The On-Screen Display (OSD) "Time Stamp" Recording, a new feature in XA-Series cameras, embeds date, time, timecode, and other data into your original camera files, making it an ideal choice for legal and law enforcement videographers who require "time stamping" information into each frame of video.
Experience seamless UVC Livestreaming, allowing you to stream HD video directly from the camera to a PC or Mac computer. The XA65 also boasts professional audio controls with two XLR terminals on a detachable handle and a 4-channel linear PCM, offering a suite of pro audio options.
The Canon lens of the XA65 covers a 29.3mm wide angle (35mm equivalent) with a powerful 612mm reach. The digital zoom boosts the 20x optical zoom to an impressive 800x magnification. To ensure steady shots, the camera is equipped with Canon's Dynamic IS 5-axis image stabilization.
The XA65 offers fast, precise focusing with face detection. Adjustable focusing speeds and an advanced Hybrid AF system provide rapid and accurate focusing. The ultra-bright high-resolution 3.5-inch LCD display allows you to set focus by touching the AF point on the screen. Face Detection AF and Face Tracking are available, while Manual Focus is set via the focus/zoom ring.
The XA65 provides flexible recording options, allowing you to choose from XF-AVC or MP4 recording formats. Output options include 3G-SDI, simultaneous backup and relay recording via dual SD cards, and Infrared mode. You can also record Slow Motion in Full 5x HD or Fast Motion in 4K/Full HD up to 1200x. The custom picture menu allows you to color match with other Canon cameras, making the XA65 a versatile addition to your professional camera gear.
