NUANCES Variable ND2-400 filters are made of mineral glass, introducing innovative technology. A new coating process ensures an uniform density and a nano metallic alloy is applied on both side of a highly resistant tempered Schott Glass B270, renowned for its high transmittance and low reflection. Nuances Variable ND2-400 will catch 1 to 8 f.stops of light, dedicating its use to long-exposure photography and/or depth of field reduction in extremely bright conditions for video shooting.

Great Purchase!

This is the first variable ND filter I've ever owned. I'm using it on a Nikon D3 DSLR. 

Color shift is approximately 450K but then maintains +/- 50k within the range band. 

Just installing the filter at it's lowest setting gave me a 1-1/3 stop reduction. Most of the rest of the marks made a much-less significant reduction in light until the third from last mark. After that, it was a geometric progression through to the end. 

The build quality is superb, the glass does not have any internal reflections between the filter elements. 

I am giving this four stars because I have nothing to gauge this against.

First Variable ND filter

A very easy to use variable filter. Has a small handle protruding that makes it easy to change the density.  Glass appears to be top quality and it’s easy to remove.
