This is the first variable ND filter I've ever owned. I'm using it on a Nikon D3 DSLR. Color shift is approximately 450K but then maintains +/- 50k within the range band. Just installing the filter at it's lowest setting gave me a 1-1/3 stop reduction. Most of the rest of the marks made a much-less significant reduction in light until the third from last mark. After that, it was a geometric progression through to the end. The build quality is superb, the glass does not have any internal reflections between the filter elements. I am giving this four stars because I have nothing to gauge this against.

A very easy to use variable filter. Has a small handle protruding that makes it easy to change the density. Glass appears to be top quality and it’s easy to remove.
