I'm only giving 4 stars because in my opinion, 5 should be reserved for something that works great and is nearly indestructible. So with that caveat, this is a great product. If you need glass and a really durable product, this plastic setup might not work so well for you. But I'm not too hard on things, and I found that the setup was easy and straightforward, the filters slide easily into the slots, and they don't shift around. I noticed no color cast, and the filters work as they should. If you're using a wide angle lens, 16mm on FF, or 10-ish on a crop sensor, you'll notice vignetting at the corners and even see the round edge. Zoom in a few millimeters and the problem goes away. I'm excited to use this more, as it does what it is supposed to do well.

I was really curious about landscape photography but wasn't exactly sure just how much I'd enjoy it, so I didn't want to drop the 3-500 bucks on pro filters; so I'm really glad I found this kit! The filter holder will hold up to 3 filters (as long as they are 84mm wide). The holder rotates freely on the lens allowing for vertical orientation if necessary (or whatever). The filters themselves are pretty nice. I have not noticed any significant color-casting, at least nothing that I didn't unknowingly correct during routine RAW processing. Their was some form of smudges or oil-lines on the filters, but they can be cleaned with a cloth easily enough. Just be sure to look them over carefully. I use the Amber one far more than the Blue one, but both have their purpose - and the included non-colored one works well to help enhance their affect. And if you also pick up the standard graduated nd kit (with 3 different gray gradients) you have two 121p filters at your disposal. I would suggest looking into a solid ND filter as well. There's a limited selection of them at 84mm though, so do what you can. I will say that on my 17-40mm lens, the filter holder is visible in the frame up from 17mm until about 25mm. This is where I'd need to upgrade to the 100m wide filter set (and jump to the multiple hundred dollar range of gear). I'd expect these filters to be excellent for lenses with 70mm or less thread sizes, regardless of focal range.

It sure does the job, but my biggest complaint about it is the plastic holder and ring, it just does not look like it will last for years.

This comprehensive kit includes a durable filter holder and three high-quality graduated ND filters (121L, 121M, 121S), along with a Cokin 77mm lens adaptor ring for P series.
These versatile graduated neutral density filters are designed to effectively reduce the amount of light reaching your camera's sensor. This allows you to decrease the shutter speed to achieve a captivating motion blur effect, or to reduce depth of field in extremely bright conditions, even when shooting in video mode.
The easy-to-use filter holder can be simply rotated to adjust the filter position while framing your shot, offering you maximum control and flexibility. As these filters are neutral, they maintain the integrity of your colors, ensuring accurate color rendition in your images.
Moreover, the effects of these filters can be cumulative, allowing you to layer the filters for a more dramatic impact. Whether you're a professional photographer or an enthusiastic hobbyist, the Cokin Graduated ND Filter Kit P Series is an essential tool for creating balanced, beautifully exposed photographs.
