I have been getting amazing photos with this telescope. It is easy to use, and breaks down into 3 pieces so easy to move outside. It is very fast orienting itself and focusing. The aperture is ideal - not too small (which would require much longer to photograph objects), but not so large as to be too heavy to carry. When photographing the very difficult Horsehead nebula I could already see the outline of the nebula after only 30 seconds. You can use the photos it creates on the app, or you can download the raw files and process them yourself for even better results. I love the pictures, which is the whole reason for this telescope in the first place. The app does have some bugs, which are easily circumvented, but it is a brand new product, and I'm, sure Celestron will improve the app with time.

I've been using telescopes for about 65 years and only attempted astrophotography with using a dslr through my telescope with no post processing. I never learned how to do it. Now the Origin does it all for me. I am very pleased with the results. Great color and definition. I'm still experimenting so my images will only get better. I am very happy I purchased the Celestron Origin and would recommend it to anyone.

A groundbreaking innovation in the world of amateur astronomy, the Celestron Origin 6" f/2.2 Intelligent Home Observatory Smart Telescope is a state-of-the-art blend of stargazing and astrophotography. This high-tech, all-in-one home observatory simplifies the complexities of traditional telescopes, transforming your backyard into a cosmic gateway.
Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the Celestron Origin brings the celestial beauty right to your smartphone or tablet. Every detail of this advanced telescope, from its patented optical technology to its user-friendly companion app, is meticulously designed by Celestron engineers, leveraging their decades of expertise.
At the core of Celestron Origin lies the patented Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph (RASA), a revolutionary advancement in optics. The RASA design positions the imaging sensor at the front of the telescope tube, creating an ultra-fast f/2.2 system with an extraordinarily wide field of view, delivering sharp images to the edge.
The Celestron Origin is equipped with a 6" RASA, offering the same capabilities as an observatory-grade instrument in a compact, portable package. The RASA optics, combined with the Sony IMX178 color CMOS sensor, ensure unparalleled image detail, even during short exposure times.
The built-in AI algorithms of Celestron Origin introduce a new dimension in astrophotography. As the telescope captures data, these sophisticated algorithms automatically stack and process every frame in real time, resulting in a stunning display of celestial objects, rich in color and detail.
Setting up the Celestron Origin is effortless, thanks to its automated initialization process powered by StarSense technology. The Celestron Origin app, developed in collaboration with Simulation Curriculum, offers an intuitive planetarium interface that simplifies navigation through the night sky.
The Celestron Origin fosters a sense of community, allowing multiple people to connect to Origin and stream the view with their own devices. The telescope also allows you to cast the live feed to your smart TV or instantly save and share your astroimages.
As you advance in your astronomical journey, Origin continues to support you with more advanced features and functionality. For instance, Origin has a built-in filter drawer that accepts standard 1.25" and 2" format filters. You can also connect via USB to import your raw images into your favorite image-processing software for manual editing and stacking.
In addition to revealing distant worlds, Origin can also capture incredible views of land-based objects on Earth, day or night. The portable design of Origin makes it easy to take your astroimaging studio anywhere.
When you invest in Origin, you can count on Celestron's engineers as your long-term partners in astronomy. They are continuously developing more upgrades and enhancements for your Origin. With precise polar alignment, you'll be able to achieve exposure times as long as 10 minutes or even longer.
In summary, the Celestron Origin 6" f/2.2 Intelligent Home Observatory Smart Telescope is a sophisticated, high-tech tool that makes astronomy more accessible, exciting, and fun than ever before.
