With the E2 Earset Microphone, experience the epitome of sound clarity and precision in a virtually invisible design. This microphone, designed for Sennheiser EW 100, EW 300, EW 500, SK 1093, Evolution Series G2 and G3 Transmitters, is easier to use than traditional lavalier or podium microphones.
Like the iconic E6 Earset, the E2 comfortably rests over the ear, but features a significantly shorter boom. Its hypercardioid polar pattern offers less isolation than an E6 Omni at the mouth, but with a considerably reduced visibility.
The E2 Earset Microphone is equipped with an equalizing circuit built into the audio connector, ensuring a frequency response that delivers full-bodied bass and precise highs that are warm and natural. The microphone's element, boom, and new sub-miniature connector can be easily concealed on the user's face. The strategic positioning near the ear eliminates breath pops and facilitates quick and easy fitting.
When compared to competitor directional lavaliers, the E2 Earset Microphone stands out. No lavalier microphone can match the gain-before-feedback of the industry-standard Countryman Earsets, and the E2 is no exception. Although directional lavaliers offer a degree of isolation, they often present significant sound reproduction and usability concerns.
The E2 is designed to be worn approximately 5" from the mouth, preserving the bass better than a typical directional lav positioned on the chest 8" - 10" away. Even when the user turns to the side, the E2 pickup remains full and accurate, unlike a directional lav that can distort the user's sound as it moves off-axis and farther from the mouth.
The E2 Earset Microphone features a new sub-miniature connector, designed to be tougher and more water-resistant than any other connector on the market. Despite its small size, the connector is robust and features a flexible plastic overmold to create a positive seal against moisture. The color-matched plastic ensures that every component of the E2 remains hidden against the user's skin.
The standard gain (W5, no colored band) of the E2 Earset Microphone is suitable for almost all applications, including vocals and speaking. Experience the smallest and most discreet professional-quality microphone available with the E2 Earset Microphone.
